I love DogDay in this. He knows that something isn't right in the back of his mind and how he genuinely feels concerned for his friends since he's the leader they look up to for help. DogDay never let's go the memories he had with his friends when he lost them during The Hour Of Joy. These make me sympathize with DogDay as a character. Even though their gone, they'll never be forgotten. Always remember their smiling faces in your memories and in the deepest place of your heart, DogDay 💛 🧡

Oh yeah and look where that got him strung up with his lower half torn off being labeled as a heretic dogday should’ve just listen to his friend hoppy and just left cat nap alone if he wasn’t so keen on, trying to get his former friend back, he wouldn’t have to go through all that suffering and neither would his friends have to pay the price for it and hoppy warned him that all that kindness would eventually end up getting him into trouble someday, and she was right

In this comic, one of the saddest moments is when Catnap puts DogDay to sleep. It's clear that Catnap genuinely cares about DogDay, and when he pins him down, you can see tears in his eyes. When Catnap discovers that DogDay is a "heretic," he seems genuinely hurt by it and even wishes that DogDay had joined him instead. Given what happened to him and what will soon happen to him, part of me wishes DogDay had joined the prototype.

Although while being killed by the prototype, as CatNap experienced would be considered a merciful fate compared to what happened to DogDay. If DogDay had joined like CatNap, yes, he would probably have been used & killed if he became useless, but at least his death would have been quick. However, since DogDay refused to join, he suffered a much worse fate. His eyes were removed, and he was bisected, left hanging for who knows how long. However, I agree with your point. If I had to choose knowing what would happen in the end, I would prefer CatNap's fate just being killed is a better option than being turned into a meat puppet while still alive.

We all know what would happen if dogday joined catnap and the prototype. But I want to know what would happen if catnap started to put all the pieces together and realizes that the prototype is not his true friend. Given what dogday thinks about the prototype, I’m sure he will convince catnap that the prototype will be no help and they have to join with the player. Once they formed an alliance with poppy and kissy missy. The player and catnap are both in the room against the prototype. Catnap will distract the prototype while the player puts in the remaining batteries. Soon the player uses the green hand to shock the prototype, stunning it giving it time for catnap to finish the prototype. Now that the prototype is gone for good. Catnap and dogday reunite with dogdays legs and paying respects for the victims that catnap calls them “heuritics”. The group shuts down playtime CO and the group seeks a home to live in for the rest of their lives. The end

I find it adorable how Catnap rubs his tail under Dogday's chin, showing a gesture of affection towards him and still doing it even after almost killing him. It can really see how hurt he was by the fact that Dogday had not joined him and the prototype, crying even when he pinned him to the ground, I wonder if at some point in the lore this had happened or something similar, if Dogday and Catnap did cared about each other as shown in the Smiling Critters cartoon.

Was he just a randon lower rank factory worker? Was he an executive? Was he responsible for any part of the experiments or one of the childs caretakers? Who knows.

But, DogDay is not dead(YET)..? DogDay’s legs got cut off, then smiling critters devour his insides and possess him. But he turns back to normal, probably with player’s help,and finds his legs. So he is the last critter remaining alive..unless Bobby is lost and we will need to save her in the next chapter. If all plushy props are made with holes in the back of the throat of each critter, doesn’t that mean all critters have possible gas that may not be the same? Here’s what I think and of course, catnap’s gas that’s in the game already: CatNap: insanity, sleeping gas. DogDay: sanity, waking gas. CraftyCorn: Imaginative, creative gas. PickyPiggy: Hunger, craving gas. BobbyBearhug: Kindness, helpfulness gas. BubbaBubbafunt: ideas, remembrance gas. Kickin’Chicken: Adventurous, pretentious gas. HoppyHopscotch: energetic, active gas. it's heartbreaking that Dogday refused to give up on Catnap despite Hoppy's objections, when we know years later he'll be begging the player character to leave him behind. Then to add to it the Fan base (seemingly collectively) create a mod and multiple AUs solely centered around saving Dogday.

To be fair, the cardboard cutouts show that some of them may actually still be alive because some of them didn't scream, and they can show some evidence that they are alive or even taken captive as a heretic. And yeah, I know Dogday said he's the last one, but still, he may not know that they are still alive. This theory is from a video from a channel called Poppytheory btw

BobbyBearhug could be lost somewhere, and although picky piggy and craftycorn didn’t have screamed, they most likely starved to death with only Bobby and DogDay remaining, but I reckon in the next chapter or so we will save Bobby and he might even be a boss. I haven’t made it yet but I will make a animation based on my ideas maybe CatNap might turn nice!

All the other smiling critters decided to forget about catnap. Dogday didn’t. That’s why Catnap cried after making him sleep. He even cried after Dogday said he wouldn’t join him because he knew what he had to do since he was a heretic, you could see the tears out of his eyes, meaning he really thought of Dogday as a true friend. But Catnap didn’t hesitate with killing the others, the ones who saw him as a monster. I think the prototype told him to keep Dogday alive because he didn’t want Catnap to feel sad of what he had to do. It’s sad that it all happened that way to be honest.😔😔

When Catnap isn't on a killing spree and going insane he is actully pretty cute and very caring for Dogday and Dogday knows that Catnap is a good person(I think even though he's a cat lol T^T) even though he trusts Prototype but in th game he kills Catnap he still has some of his sanity left

A huge chunk of people say multiverse as a concept destroys any narrative value. I say here it does the opposite, it gives DRAMATIC IRONY!!! Draconia Chronicles does the same thing, the setting is anthro dragons and tigers sincerely trying to exterminate each other. Every December as a Christmas special, the POV switches to an alt universe without this cycle of revenge where the two species have developed to modern times and clearly live much happier lives.

This story made my stomach hurt cuz it’s so sad and if this would be the real story it would be so interesting but actually the really sad part is where catnap cries bc he needs to hurt dogday to be a heretic it’s relatable that catnap killed the others without feeling bad not like dogday cuz dogday cares but the others didn’t but actually dogday is the one that suffered more but catnap doesn’t notice that poppy playtime is a really interesting horror game especially the new chapter cuz it’s pretty sad but those Fan made videos are more sad then the original game and sometimes we need to realize that catnap is the youngest in the smiling critters and hard too believe that he killed so much people and especially his friends but it’s sad that catnap thinks the prototype could save him but he doesn’t the only question I have is why did. catnap “tell” the prototype to kill him he literally shows us this by his hands but he wanted to be saved by the prototype hopefully we will get information about that in chapter 4 ^^ and I love that how dogday (from the other universe) tells catnap that they are friends in every universe which is really heartwarming thanks to the creator for being so creative and making a really great story ^^!!!

Bro like dogday and catnap r like two dynamatic duo they work like day and night wich i like but on the other hand catnap is one big mofo for joining the prototype and tortruing dogday man dogday desrved better yet everyone did but dog day cared abt everyone and even catnap wich makes dog day the best of the smiling critters
