Those bristles on the tongue are for cleaning themselves, their tongue doubles as a brush

The bristles are primarily for licking up food and directing food to the back of their mouths, but they do work as brushes too

It's just bone, same as teeth with the intention of getting all the meat off bones. However yes they double as brushes for cleaning themselves. Not the main job though

He explained what the things on his tongue are 😂 Papillae, and humans have that too. They are the little bumps on the top of your tongue that help grip food while your teeth are chewing. Cats have just very "advanced" version of them

Yeah but the cat version literally rips meat from bone so they get all the meat, we don't do that at all.

I live out in rural area.. field mice come in to the house from the nearby wheat field, Meka, my tabby cat will hunt them to exhaustion before I even suspect they've come in She usually leaves them in the middle of the dining room floor. I pick them out and throw them back outside.

Not hair on their tongue just longer, rougher papillae. It does feel rough to the skin. It also acts as a mini brush

Most cats have a petting limit. This varies by cat. My sister had two who were on the opposite extreme of how much petting they'd tolerate. Both were male orange tabby cats. One wanted to be pet nearly all the time, the other didn't like to be petted.

Yeah, compared to a toddler a teenager needs less attention, but that doesn't mean you can ignore them, and when they get into trouble that trouble is usually worse. Plus they won't tell you when something is wrong, you just have to be in tune with them. Like teenagers, if cats ever stop eating: it's really bad.
