That's pretty much what their basic Juggernaut Method Program is, a hypertrophy/strength block designed for athletes to perform along side their sports training. So, do that with some BJJ training sessions a week, and you have what you're asking for.

Like I know Chad has like...10 or more years of training and athletics on me but seeing him more cut at 299lbs than I am at 239lbs at the same height just reminds me how much extra lean mass I have to build.

George Barsby if you’re asking me, I use ON’s performance whey and I mix it with cold brew that I make myself. It’s an easy breakfast and a good method for making sure I hit my daily protein.

@@georgebarsby I always mixed some chocolate whey with a little bit of milk until it's gets a slurry like consistency, then I pour the hot coffee over it it and mix it until it's smooth. Tastes like a less sweet hot chocolate

Try making your own salad dressing: Lemon or vinegar, peanut or almond butter, salt, pepper, optional herbes and a bit of water if needed all in the blender. Tastes surprisingly good.

If you're looking for a super low-cal dressing, verde salsa works as a great substitute. It has a surprisingly high flavor to calorie ratio and synergizes well with most salads.

As I big guy who hovers around 320lbs and average 300lbs the last ten years I understand the difficulty in dropping weight. Gets some labs from time to time just to verify your LDL cholesterol and your heart health. Big guys rarely make it to the nursing home unfortunately. Your on your way though so keep it up and good luck.

If you don't like chewing, blend your vegetables into a green paste. I Vitamix cooked, beans, quinoa, millet, flax seed, buckwheat and kale into a thick paste. I'm vegan and it does take a lot of time to consume my 4,000 calories a day.

Where are you getting your proteins from and what is your daily goal? If you don't mind me asking. I have no interest of being vegan, just curious.

@@BrendanCBreen Vegan diet is quite rare in powerlifting as far as I can tell. I did my first USAPL meet in March. I did measure protein a few times and l get around 130-150 grams/day. No protein powder, creatine or TRT or anything really. Split peas, beans, lentils, nuts, oats, millet, buckwheat, quinoa.

@@BrendanCBreen The protein combining is not an issue at all as long as you eat a reasonable variety of whole foods. A strict fruitarian might have trouble with that. Biggest vegan errors are likely: Not taking some B12, not eating enough, not eating enough Omega 3's(Flax Seed, Chia) .

It’s funny talking about chewing. Brian Shaw has brought this up in pod casts and said they use food grinders on everything. He’s eating amounts through the roof 10-12k calories daily. But if you’re eating hard to chew foods grinding, finely chopping, blending whatever keeps from getting a head ache from chewing

Chad you mentioned you herniated disc's in your back did you have surgery? I had ruptured a disc that I ended up getting a spacer fused in. I want to get back into weight lifting and was wondering if you know anyone who had that type of surgery and had any noteworthy lifts?

dude. veggies and chewing. check out my Power Soup: beetroot, sweet potato, garlic, leek, onion, broccoli, tomatoes. cook for an hour or two. then BLEND THE SHIT OUT OF IT. then *steam* some chicken breasts, tear it manually to shreds. portion and freeze the chicken (i do 100g), portion and fridge the soup (i put ~500ml in a shaker bottle. lasts a week in the fridge). then on the day, add chicken to soup (i eat it for lunch, so the chicken defrosts till then), microwave, and you have a daily portion of Power Veggies + protein. cooked once a week.

paul shortall I’m sure it went down a bit but he’s probably still strong as hell lol I’m documenting my cut on my channel and I’m definitely losing strength, but nothing crazy. I think you really only see serious strength loss when you’re super lean or on super low calories (which is sometimes necessary when getting excessively lean).

I remeber hearing you talk about your struggle with weightloss about a year or so ago and I was really quite confused as to how somebody that is as knowledgeable as you are couldn't figure out weightloss. I'm glad to see that you've been finding sucess with it now, looking quite juicy and the baby blues really add to that. What do you see your ideal weight? I was thinking maybe something in the low to mid 280's would be great so you could make weight for the 275 class easily if you decide to throw your hat back into the powerlifting ring. Also have you considered tracking your calories just to see what you maintenance is like? Because that meal had about 900 calories and if you eat that 3 times per day that's only 2700. So even if we make it 4000 by the time you've added snacks etc that seems pretty low and I can't really see your maintenance being under 5000-5500 given your size and workload.

Gordon Ramsay's broccoli soup recipe (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aLGCZ5eSxJvaj3U.html) is a great way to get vegetables / fiber. It's literally just fresh boiled broccoli pureed, seasoned, with a slice of optional goat cheese. You can basically drink the stuff.
