It's funny because people completely overexaggerated on his farming playstyle. They know Chovy is the best mid laner ever and tried to find any way to protect their idol, Faker, by ridiculing Chovy for only csing. But they never watched Chovy's games. Chovy does not get enough resources or spends a lot of time csing. He just misses the fewest cs out of any player, thus always being able to gather these big leads. You can see it in the laning phase where neither mid laner generally roams, and he always has anywhere from 5 to 20 cs lead at 10 minutes, just because he is the best. Later on, you can see that he leaves waves for his ADC mostly, which if he took, he would have like an extra 20 cs at the end of each game to generate even bigger cs leads, but he doesn't because he indeed is more of a team player that many others. He doesn't even farm many jungle camps to set his jungler behind as others would have you think. He just farms what is needed without setting his AD or jungler behind, but people keep malding about it just because he is the best. He evolved his playstyle a lot during his DRX days, where he was forced to play things like TF and Galio who generally prioritize macro play and roaming over solo lane domination. Guess what. He was the best at roaming with those champions, while also being able to smash the laning phase with those chamions at the same time. He was being ridiculed for just being a farmer and that his playstyle doesn't work because he doesn't have any titles, and now that he is finally on a good team, he has b2b LCK titles, while also having 4/4 Worlds appearances where he qualified to semis, yet people would have you think that he is just a farm bot. Obviously haters, who probably don't even watch games and only look at stats.

@@XenagarDif they have lockdown she has trouble, also her burst relies on her cds and has a lot of single target damage that means tankier comps take mutliple cd rotations and stops her from passive and r resetting to win fights, but yes in a sidelane 1v1 or skirmish she does have better damage than others with q2

In pro, Ahri’s often used against Vi to ult/flash to pull her out of position when she ults Ahri, Naut and Thresh do annoy Ahri a fair bit though.

Tanks can lock her down but that doesn't necessarily mean they counter her. That's what they're supposed to do but Chovy neutralizes that because of Everfrost for the tankiness and additional stun and Banshee's for the shield and MR without having to compromise Ahri's AP output. Because of her true dmg she can even run Mercs with the set. She and Veigar can get away with building defensive without sacrificing their damage ratios and sadly that's why they're bound to be nerfed yet again.

@@SupPartyPeople Ahri’s true damage is not a huge % of her damage, and Everfrost/Banshees does drop a significant amount of damage over other 2 item combos. It’s very good at being able to dive forwards to set up for someone else to do damage, but will not provide significant threat, and seriously falls off at 3+ items compared to other builds as well.

i think its a combination of the auto attack animation, and the fact that there is a lot of pink in each of the abilities in this skin. so it can be harder to tell when the charm is coming out. and i think catseye is probably just his favorite chroma. but i could be wrong.

Ahri's base damage is really weak. No matter how fed Ahri gets, she can't one shot anyone.

Probably because Zed can follow Ahri(even with her ult) pretty easily, and if he dodges her E she's doomed. As for Lissandra, her ult is target and completely immobilizes Ahri, rendering her useless if she doesn't use cleanse.

+ Zed can counter ahri's E with W-R. That's why I said it was uncomfortable for ahri.

Yeah is suppossed Yasuo is not a problem for really good Ahris like Máster and above. But for the rest of us mortal beings, Yasuo and Nasus are really annoying

They are pretty good overall, and provide good safety on top of vision control and Ahri’s already high damage.

The clip is viral because normally against an enemy holding to a wall while running away, that return Q would be impossible, as Ahri needed to be within the wall for it to return through Jayce. But since Ahri R and flash, specifically at the right time, it followed a more curved path and did manage to hit the Jayce. Given its not the craziest play, but no one watching it, including Jayce, expected it.

The combo itself isn't that special but coz it was coming from THAT angle

you need to hit the enemy first, with either an auto or a W. Also, W should prioritise champions so if it doesnt hit them then it's possible they were just out of range

Ahri's W will target the last champion got hit by her autos or her E first so you have to mix in an auto before using her W If not the W will target the nearest low health enemies (which usually the minions)

Zed can counter with w-r. But it's not easy so I can't even see it as a counter.

Cc chain for teamfights. Also, unless your fed ahri can't one shot in a single combo. Everfrost provides more time for your q and w to come back up (and cdr also helps) so you can solo kill.

@@tuckersprano9711its also much safer than the „assasin” bulid with ludens since Everfrost gives Ahri bonus HP and the CDR from items makes it much easier to go through with multiple rotations in extended fights, so ur not entirely a sitting duck after engaging in.

Assassin part is overestimated Even in the video it is visible that Chovy is having slow fights with enemies, aka going through 2-3 rotations of his spells, fighting with the team or killing low HP enemies Ahri does everything well but she deals no damage and not even close compared to the assassins

Would not say the match up is favored towards Ahri since Zed can choose to kill her teammates instead.

@@QuincyIsCrispy ahri favored, Zed's ult makes him appear right behind his target, which Ahri can counter with an instant charm behind her + A better waveclear than zed, more range for Ahri, zed has more range for 3 seconds with his shadow every 20 seconds or so while ahri has her q every 8 seconds, + she can disengage or engage after a charm with her 3 dashes +/-, so it's really ahri favored
