This is an amazing story. Showed why Stroud has played with a chip on his shoulder, no matter how good or how bad. As a Texans fan, I’m glad he’s here in Houston. And if his father is somewhere in prison watching his games, you can bet your ass he’s damn proud of his son.

I've been watching football for 48 years and I've never seen a QB like Stroud. To do what he's doing as a rookie just blows my mind!! When he said he considered himself a ball placement specialist he ain't bragging!!!! His accuracy is incredible and his zero interceptions proves out his claim as a ball placement specialist. After the debacle with Deshaun Watson I didnt think we'd see a better QB for at least a decade. In walks Stroud who is better than Watson,what a gift!!!

I'm a colts fan, and honestly wish nothing but success for CJ. I was really big on him coming out of OSU, and haven't rooted for a non-colt AFC south QB since Minshew Mania in Jacksonville.

one of the craziest things that you mentioned is that he debuted with a shaky offense against the best defence in the NFL regarding sacks and still looked good for a first game in the nfl. I was rooting for a Harbaugh led Michigan that defeated CJ and Ohio State during his 2 losses. It was like Michigan was a defensive minded 49ers back when Harbaugh was coaching and playing against Brady or Brees, when playing against Ohio. Not saying CJ is like Brady or Brees, but he had the talent to keep his team in the game and within reach of a comeback. If he has free reign to spread his wings on offense with the Texans and if DeMeco brings on the defensive minded team that he led with the 49ers, only good things will happen for the Texans future.

CJ Stroud is a generational talent and has all the hallmarks of a clutch player and team leader. Not only does he have the physical talent, he has the mental talent to be a great quarterback. This is the key ingredient of every championship team in the NFL, and I'm pretty sure he's going to take the Houston Texans to that Championship.

Tbh I am an Texans fan. Been a fan since 2016. The year before Watson. I always thought that Watson is gonna bring a Super Bowl to Houston but nope. Things went downhill for the Texans and it needed to change. Did I give up on my team? No. I continue to root for them no matter how terrible they are since after 24-0 Texans vs Chiefs 2019 playoffs divisional round when Chiefs destroyed our hopes for the Super Bowl. (No offenses Chiefs fans. You guys are a good team.) When I watched the Georgia vs Ohio State game in the playoffs. I don’t care that much of college football but it is interesting to see how the game went. I never know CJ until the NFL Draft when the Texans drafted him. He could finally be the player to break to mild of Ohio state nfl bust. That school has produced more first round let downs than any other school besides maybe USC. He’s got a long, long way to go to prove he was worth the 2nd pick, but he’s off the decent start. Granted, Bryce young would be doing better than him is he went to the Texans and stroud would be on the bench by now if he went to the panthers, but we will see how this plays out. Osu desperately needs a player to redeem their image. It’s so risky taking a non-sec player in the first round, but stroud may be the one to help osu put a dent in their reputation for producing overhyped players the end up being a bust.
