Those type of situations are always a bummer. You go to fix one thing, but something greater, unbeknownst to you, is going on, but you don't notice it until you're underway with repairs or after they're done. Just always hope the customer doesn't flip out on you and is understanding.

have a chrysler 200 losing coolant kept toped off worried it was a head gasket put a pressure test found a loose clamp tightened up problem solved it only leaked under pressure any time you are losing coolant and unsure were its going you should get a pressure test that leaking clamp could have been cause of the whole problem this why you should check your oil and water every 2 weeks a 10 minute job could save 2or 3 thousand or replacing your car you cannot trust oil change places to do this my local firestone will not top off fluids

Gotta find a better service center for your routine maintenance, a decent place will find your leaks before you do and keep records of your car over time to see what's going on

A combustion test or a leak-down test. The combustion test will show if there is hot exhaust going into the cooling system. The leak down will bubble in the coolant.

Job question here. I am starting my own mobile mechanic business. How do you go about ordering parts for customers? My fear is ordering a few hundred dollars of parts and then the customer not going through with the job so I am stuck with parts for a car. What do you do in this situation?

Keep receipts. There are even apps you can download for free to store on your phone, and MOST stores autozone etc. Keep a record by phone number if you are starting a business open a commercial account there and you get discounts as well.

You can have a poverty spec Honda and a fully loaded Hyundai. Plus if he can fix it himself who cares about the reliability. Look back on his channel, her particular Honda hasn't exactly been trouble free for him lately

So why offer to buy the car and just quote them to do a head gasket on it? If this happen to me I’d be little skeptical that ur more trying to buy the car off me then to do a head gasket job? I’m just saying not implying bad intentions or anything.
