I would make Haunter evolve into Gengar at level 8 (like Gardevoir) and change its ability into cursed body which would just give it the additional effect of raising the move cooldown by 1 second or something if an opponent attacks gengar

I'd maybe add a mechanic where once you throw a shadow ball, you can activate it again while it's traveling and you teleport to where it is. Then you've got a decent outplay move 🤷

They could buff everything for him like we saw in the fake patch but it feels like they won't. They could make shadow ball hit multiple opponents but that's even more unlikely. They could also increase his movement speed increase from his ability but that's not enough by itself.

I think a cool change for gengar would be for shadow ball to work like dragapult shadow ball, where when u use it, it dashes u slightly in any direction

How to buff Gengar? Hex should auto priority enemy mons under effects that reset it, ie sludge bomb. Dream eater : increase range and healing. Shadow ball: increase range. Make him a pseudo sniper. Not long range, but a little further would be nice.

Make it so KO'ing an enemy mon on shadow ball increases its damage permanently or maybe to a cap so he has some late game or it grows bigger in range/size dreameater is fine, hex sludge is fine. Maybe lower ult cd but it's invisible so I'd rather it not be tweaked

I feel like you could give gengar a passive where you hit someone three times and then you to tp behind the enemy and do some sort of damage that can crit. Also I would maybe buff dream eater to where when you kill someone you get it back instantly and I would make it to where you get a marker that you can tp back to invade the tp goes wrong.

honestly, the only thing that id change on gengar is greatly reduce the cooldown of its unite to be in line with pikachu, goodra and the like: its the best mobility tool it has and it has such a long cooldown its not even funny (to compensate the damage of the leap attack would need to be lowered a bit) gengar is hard to make balanced cuz its either busted or not very good. I think rn the damage it can deal is balanced but with no mobility outside its unite is what really holds it back

Man i just destroy this combo with Gengar Shadow Dream Eater alot of time's but if i lose by this combo somehow is just because my Solo Q team doing Solo Q stuff give them a free win or just surrender

If Gengar's enhanced auto attacks were ranged, it would fit much better into the meta.

I want them to make shadow ball into three separate ways and you can teleport to one of them balls for more mobility kinda like willow wisp

Bro Gengar doesn't get counter by Umbreon and Clefable what are you talking about Gengar is the only speedster that is actually very good against mean look and moon gravity combo every speedster get's hard counter by this combo because they are mele speedster while Gengar can just spam shadow ball to their face and also every speedster that is not Gengar cannot go invisible so if you see speedster in the enemy team that is not Gengar is coming you see it coming because they are not invisible and you can just mean look them and they cannot do anything while Gengar just don't care about all of this he can just unite move when getting mean look or moon gravity yes Gengar is still stuck in the mean look but you cannot target Gengar he can just escape from a mean look and when Gengar get hit by moon gravity he can still attack the enemy by using shadow ball not dream eater but he still can attack when he is in moon gravity with his shadow ball so basically this is the best matchups for Gengar because all of there move are useless against Gengar Gengar can just eat their hope's and dream's and just make them useless and also you think a family friendly version of Gengar and a black eevee can win against a Ghost Pocket Monster Killer the Gengar huh
