I was disappointed that the Knicks passed up on Michael Porter Jr. as well but if you remember he had some back issues that were a major concern and caused him to slip down to the 14th pick. (Edit- just realized you mentioned the back issues).

@@Bottles93145 all the draft failures they had, they could’ve easily drafted mpj and given him plenty time to heal. I think the Knicks been tanking the draft on purpose. No one can be that inept and get paid so much for horrible draft picks

@@mahjidtarantino499 I’m with you on that one. I believe we drafted Kevin Knox that year who eventually didn’t work out for the Knicks so I don’t know why they weren’t willing to “gamble” on MPJ. Maybe it could have something to do with their experience drafting Gallinari when he had a bad back but he had a pretty good NBA career so idk. As far as tanking the draft goes I just think the front office was full of people who were clueless for a long time up until recently.

Stop making excuses for a bust.. after the Knicks he played with 3 different teams and did ZERO. Steve Mills and Perry made a gigantic blunder with Knox. There were at least 3 all-star type players available at Bridges was actually a well-known player and expected to go ahead of Knox. I don't even fault them for not taking SGA because he wasn't even ranked that high in most mock drafts and it was a reach to take him, but Bridges was extremely well known

What Perry forgot to mention, was in the workouts Kevin Knox dominated Mikal Bridges, and others. Kevin Knox was the youngest, but he was the strongest player and he bullied those other guys bottom line. The Knicks failed Kevin Knox by not properly developing him. The worst thing they did was bringing Mook Morris which took Knox out of the rotation

If not for the media war against Dolan, Phil Jackson was a way better mind and manager. Phil wanted to trade Porzingis in a 3-teams deal to Boston and draft Lauri Markkanen at the 5th or 6th spot during the 2017 draft. Then, the media and almost everybody in the NBA world was like Hell No even if Porzingi wasn't physically a franchise player. They ended up looking at Frank Ntilikina or Dennis Smith because everybody wanted a point-guard.

This guy should’ve been fired on the spot after this draft, that and taking Obi Topin over Haliburton, he can’t draft, that’s why he’s desperate to get those picks off in a trade, a bunch of picks with so many protections that in the end only an idiot would give you a top tier player for them, typical Knicks delusion to think this is the guy who’s going to get us there.

The knicks have managed to screw up every pick they’ve had in the draft. They were terrible for 20 years and never even had picks in some drafts. The best pick they’ve made was Porzingis and still screwed him up. I think penny Hardaway just came off our salary a couple years ago. I can’t even count how many draft nights the Knick’s have ruined.

@@m.b.i.c4562 yes a couple decades, unless your counting the Anthony years as successful, if so I’m really confused because this team is head and shoulders above that team, from the GM down, how exactly did thibbs cause embid to injure Robinson, bogdonavic to break his hand and ankle after playing a half hour for the season, Jalen Brunson to jam his hand on a basketball, and jaquez to go under Randle while he was in the air? Only 2 injuries that you could maybe argue were from over usage was the hart and annunoby injuries in the playoffs, and OG would be a stretch being he’s been on and off the court his whole career.

@m.b.i.c4562 Ай бұрын
@francisbaxter4663 I don't know if you know about Thibbs history, but you should look into it if you don't know. He has injured many players from overplaying them on every team that he was the head coach. As for your question. Well, ask yourself when was the last time Randle got hurt in his career? If you don't know look it up. Then there's O.G. he only lasted 16 games before he went down. Brunson already an injury prone player, will be the next domino to fall. Let's not forget about Hart (Josh). How many 48 minute games did he play? This is who this coach is that's why we will never make it to the Finals or win a chip!!
