The Covid-19 pandemic has laid bare the inequalities in our society, and multiplied the suffering of some of our most deprived communities. (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
That is the conclusion of a landmark report on health inequality led by Professor Sir Michael Marmot.
He says social deprivation must be addressed in the wake of the pandemic, or many children's lives will be permanently blighted.

On the money mate. Just a shame that the Bevin report was not implemented fully. We would be a wealthier nation.

*Inequalities, when discussed in Epidemiology, are to explain Health problems and differences in Healthcare, not to do with money itself.* btw if you "think" it's bad here, look at countries South America! And then *Practice Gratitude & Mindfulness on a twice Daily basis.* Ps *Mental Health Nurses & CPNs are Specialists trained to diagnose & treat MH issues* (Doctors & General Nurses aren't). Psychology is only a very small part of MH Nursing btw so as a Note for the NHS: *please employ more MH Nurses (/ Wellbeing Advisors).* Repost: Update 1: Please don't delete, it's important: *Mental health & Wellbeing especially over Christmas* ❤🙏 As a Trained Secondary (Investigative) Reseacher there are a few things we all should know, inc professionals (e.g. Doctors, General Nurses & Care staff all need training in this). Firstly, we are ALL Human Beings and ALL *connected through Source Energy* (what people perceive as Soul/ Spirit/ God - it's actually Energy/ Consciousness/ Isness/ Awareness/ Presence within every living Earthling & is all around us). Secondly we ALL have a Duty to be in *Service* to the Greater Good (ie Humanity and Mother Earth). Thirdly, we ALL deserve to get the help we need from Professionals & Volunteers who are Trained (don't *expect* people who aren't trained to help). Lastly, we need to be aware that we call all get extremes of thoughts/ feelings/ normal behaviour (e.g. low mood/ depression, stessed/ anxiety...or the other end hyper/ high/ fidgety/ can't sit still). However certain people are *born with* certain symptoms e.g. hearing voices/ thoughts/ pictures in the head which make a it more likely that they will ACT upon them... Ps if managed well these symptoms can be a great for Creativity e.g. Positive Visualisations. It just depends on how you look at it/ Perspective...However, if not managed well, this could mean they are more at risk of harm to themselves/ others. We all have thoughts in our head, but we don't act on them all. However people with Schizophrenia/ Personality Disorders struggle more with their thoughts than most of us. Eg most of us have thoughts about hitting someone or excaping from it all, but most of us wouldn't actually do it, no matter how low we may feel, but a certain type of person struggles with separating themselves from their thoughts. Talking of which Mooji is probably the best teacher in the World for teaching us how to *observe & ignore* our thoughts so we can feel the peace & love that's within each one of us. The fact that we're alive proves that we have this energy. It's a *First Hand Observation,* something Professionals need to do more. I should also mention *Learning Difficulties/ Disabilities (LD)* in particular ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) & ADHD Inattentive Type (same as ADHD but no hyperactivity, they have apathy/ lack of interest in things which can often be mistaken for depression), both of which are very similar to Autism esp Inattentive Types, but is often missed. Sometimes it's seen as a learning disability & sometimes not. In my experience, inattentive types are very Creative whilst hyper type is very Active/ Social. Both are good at helping other people, given the appropriate increased level of instructions/ guidance, but struggle to help themselves & focus on anything, so for that reason I would say it IS a barrier to learning. As a Teacher/ Parent/ Caregiver it's important to *adjust* your parenting/ teaching style so that they can properly understand ie they need 1-1 intensive support & they respond really well to that. Their Mental Health is relatively good, however they really struggle to understand & especially other people's mental health issues. Just something to bear in mind that if someone just "can't" empathise with you, that they "might" have a (mild) learning disability and/ or personality disorder themselves. Often people aren't even *aware* enough of their OWN issues, nevermind trying to help someone else with theirs, so they may not even have a diagnosis or even be able to tell you that there's something wrong. In fact they're pretty positive & will say they're fine/ ok/ happy/ good (but other people will recognise the symptoms/ signs that something is wrong esp professionals & teachers. Please also bear in mind that these things run in families, so if the kids are showing signs, then the parents will also have issues (but just may not be aware of them/ deny there's anything wrong). Rather, just *observe* words/ emotions/ behaviour and empathise with them. For Teachers, please work with the kids and parents: ie don't be annoyed if the kids attendance or school work is poor. It is the way it is, they can't help it. It's our job to love & support them (not judge/ criticise/ punish them). Don't focus on the "labels"; they are only a guide or an exanation for things. Instead *choose* to focus on *managing and improving symptoms*. In general we often say that people can *change* & *recover* and whilst this is certainly true for most people, certain "types" of people "can't" like Personality Disorders and Learning Disabilities. They're not not "capable" of "curing" the symptoms they have. At best they can learn to manage them better so that their lives & the lives of those closest to them/ Caregivers can be improved. Also when explaining to a Child or someone with Learning Difficulties about MH problems, the simplest way to put it is: folks with LD tend to be quiet because there's *nothing* going on in the mind, but MI (mentally ill) folks are quiet because they have *too much* going on in the mind. That's only a Starting Guide, see Marissa Peers and Mooji for more (the best 2 teachers in the world, probably) With thanks and praise to the Lord, our Creator (the Universe's Energy and Mother Earth), Amen & much love to all ❤🙏 Update 2: *I've analysed hundreds of Articles as a Trained Secondary Reseacher.* *The Professional Scientific Articles that I've read points to a Covid Disease, separate from the Coronavirus itself. It's called different things: Hyperinflamation, An Altered Immune System Response, Covid, SARS-COV2, MIS-C & MIS-A. People of ALL AGES can get this hyperinflamation and/ or long term symptoms, it's not just the elderly, as first thought.* There's a *distinct difference* between SCIENCE, which is the Systematic Study of Nature ....and... a certain type of person/ certain groups of people using anything, including science, to MANIPULATE and control other people which is Narcisistic Emotional Abuse/ DARVO/ Gaslighting. With thanks and praise to the Lord, our Creator (the Universe's Energy and Mother Earth), Amen & much love to all ❤🙏 Update 3: Mental Health & Wellbeing: Ps most of the time people are looking for *validation*, *respect* or looking for folks to *believe* them/ have empathy with or sympathy for them (depending on the person, know the differences). It's not just talking/ listening. Please start to *observe* (See Mooji). Much love to all ❤🙏

Not true. Obesity can be part of mental health issues, you cannot simply write off comfort eating or binge eating in the same way you cannot turn around to someone with anorexia or bulimia and say those are bad life choices not inequalities, or at least not the fault of others.

Survival of the fittest. Unchanged since the beginning of life. Of course you can help some but don't forget you do it to please you. It takes education of the masses for them to understand that It takes pleasingly living together, AKA civilisation, to make helping the lesser off a government's job. And education's the problem in the UK.
