Tulsi Gabbard feels like a woman liberated. She's free from a political party she left nearly two years ago and no longer recognizes. During her conversation with CBN News, she spoke her mind, something that doesn't often go over well in certain Washington, D.C. circles. She's a free thinker and the establishment does not like free thinkers and a free-thinking society.
"You're exactly right," Gabbard tells CBN News in an exclusive sit-down interview. "This has been my experience throughout my time involved in national politics especially. Independent-minded people, common sense-minded people, independent free thinkers, are not welcome in Washington."
That theme plays out in her new book, For Love of Country: Leave the Democrat Party Behind. She says the elites in her former party are a direct threat to our Constitution.

Walter Q Gresham has been called the most anti-imperialist in American History as Secretary of State, in our changing world, in my opinion, we need someone like that, I believe Tulsi Gabbard might be a good choice for Secretary of State, but I believe she would be a good choice for Vice President.

I agree with you!! Tulsi should do what God have for her. She is multi-skilled and can serve the country in many, many positions! Genuine. I would like for her to be the President when the time, according to God is right. I saw Byron Donalds last night at the rally in New York. I don't want to take anything away from him, he is a great guy. Will he be able to do the things Tulsi can do better? She can be Secretary of State. I'm a bit disappointed how Nancy Pelosi described Kamala's job description. Nothing, just be there to stand in when Biden is not there. Kamala have a good laugh. That's all. A VP salary is just below that of the President. To just be there? When is the last time you renovated your house? It took Kamala a couple of months to choose the right curtains, etc. Taxpayer money.

However the fact that she's a Hindu does give me pause about her becoming Vice President of the USA. Nothing against the Hindu religion, but our country was founded on Christian principals and I believe we should have a Christian president and Vice President. Remember, if anything happens to our president the Vice President takes over in his/her place. If someone of another religion (any religion) becomes president it may be the last time we see a Christian in the White House. Maybe or maybe not but I'm just not willing to take that chance. I'm a keiki o ka aina..........I've watched Tulsi over the past couple decades. Had met Mike, her Dad, at an event years ago. Couldn't ever understand her choice of political party. Thank you CBN for bringing truth to us with this eye opening interview. Tulsi's mission in life, is very similar to mine. How can I be of service to my fellow man while I'm here? Why has God placed me here and for what purpose? It's taken me most of my life to reach this realization. I'm 77, but left Hawaii for many reasons mostly revolving around our loss of freedom and liberty. I served during the Vietnam era, and watched my high school pals as they came home and watched their families grieve. It always seemed so very wrong to me that the elite kept finding ways for us to be at war, and pay no attention to the cost both lives and $$. Memorial Day has always been very somber for me. From my perspective, Tulsi is on the right side of history and I will pray for her every day.........pray the the Lord does have a path of service all picked out for her and that path will benefit our great country and our fellow Americans. I heard Tucker doesn't want to be VP, he loves what he does. Being a journalist & reporting the truth & interviewing people with a story. Sharing political issues is a lot different then being one who are dealing with political issues! Sometimes being the voice about the issues, is the best place to be, especially when your good at it. Yes, Tulsi has an honorable and compassionate spirit. I agree on many of her talking points and policies, and would like to see her play a major role in the next administration. However the fact that she's a Hindu does give me pause about her becoming Vice President of the USA. Nothing against the Hindu religion, but our country was founded on Christian principals and I believe we should have a Christian president and Vice President. Remember, if anything happens to our president the Vice President takes over in his/her place. If someone of another religion (any religion) becomes president it may be the last time we see a Christian in the White House. Maybe or maybe not but I'm just not willing to take that chance. I love this lady! She is the first candidate I would actually vote for instead of voting for the opposite candidate because I'm voting against. I grew up a rust belt democrat and had a similar experience as her, feeling like the Democratic party has abandoned not only me but all Americans. It isn't the party I grew up in. With all I've seen from her and getting to meet her I'm convinced that she is genuine, a patriot, intelligent and levelheaded. She is truly America first and personally I'd like to see her as V.P.

They either are looking for someone like Senator Tim Scott or Dr. Ben Carson to represent the Republican Black people or they need a woman to represent woman across the country, like Tulsi Gabbard, Governor Kristi Noem, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, Senator Katie Britt, Potential Senator Kari Lake would be wonderful too. I personally, like Governor Doug Burgum or Senator Marco Rubio who are extremely intelligent individuals in the political realm.

I appreciate that Ms. Gabbard was able to change her views on gun ownership as part of her “waking up” to the oppression that is the democrat party and their elite supporters. When I was young, I was a Naval officer and I fully supported the right to bear arms individually, along with ALL tenets of the Constitution to which I swore my oath (not the to the President). But as I grew older and wiser, I began to realize that the number one reason to own guns is that the government doesn’t want you to, and I began to see it as less of a right and more of a duty to be armed well enough to be part of a viable physical opposition to tyrannical governments, whether they be from other nations or our own. I’m proud MAGA, and described myself basically that way BEFORE Donald Trump sprang onto the political stage. I didn’t decide to follow him - his agenda aligned with the one I already had. And it’s NOT racist - that’s just weaponized speech used against him and us. It’s respect for law and the Constitution and dedication to the ideals that made America strong, not the newer ones that actually weaken us while falsely claiming to make us stronger.

Remind me what her views were? I do remember something about gun ownership and me thinking that was an odd view to have being that she was also military. Gun ownership is one of those things that I believe we have a fundamental right to have, but I also see the concerns people may have of certain individuals owning them who may not have the best intentions or they are mentally unstable. Democrats want us to think that this is an extreme right-wing problem with people owning so many guns, but you see so much of it on the extreme (and maybe not even that extreme) left as well.

She has supported legislation to ban “assault weapons,” limit magazine capacity, ban bump stocks, institute universal background checks, and “close the gun show loophole” (meaning banning private sales). That’s her record. She has recently said she was wrong and blames her prior views on growing up in Hawaii where there was very little gun culture, and says she gained perspective from exposure to people from many different parts of the country. But she has no actual record of supporting the 2A, so it’s difficult to know specifically what she now supports and opposes. We only have her word expressing her changed opinion, which could just be posturing to make herself palatable as a potential VP pick for Trump.

Being that Miss Gabbard has an open mind to see and learn from constituents, and has adjusted her conviction in light of the reality that exists beyond her own background and experiences, also, her own mitary service, I believe that she has come to a totally different view of A2. I also don't see in her a manipulative drive to assure a position in government through covert means. Perhaps we both need to watch this very thought provoking interview again for 42:13 more insight.
