To be honest, I think I’m done chasing women all together. Buying a house cash, working a simple job, and pursuing hobbies is going to be my focus.

I'm 49, and it was SO much easier to date in the 90s/2000s. Especially when it came to everyone getting their looks match. At parties, people would automatically couple up with their looks equivalent on a regular basis. Not saying everyone was hooking up ALL the time, but it was a pretty regular occurrence. The ONLY way to meet someone back then was to talk to them. It was fairly common for women to approach guys due to the fact that if they didnt, they probably would never see them again. There was a certain urgency for girls to meet the guys they liked also because there was no social media to fall back on. They actually HAD to get up, dress up, and go out in order to receive attention and validation.

Imagine a housing market where buyers wouldn't settle for anything less than a $10M waterfront property? And would rather be homeless if they couldn't afford it? This is the state of dating and relationships.

I'm an older guy of 42. I'm not interested in 'hot girls': I just want someone average looking. My problem is even though I am average for my age, average women aren't interested in me. So I get no messages, and obviously no dates on whatever dating app I am on. Another problem I have is my so called 'matches'. They're always very obese women with tattoos and over the age of 60. I play sports, work out, and eat healthily. I'm not interested in sitting on a sofa eating hamburgers with overweight women, so how come they're my 'matches'. In the last year or so I've resigned to being single. No point looking anymore.

While this has clearly gotten much worse, it's always been the case. 40 years ago a 3 guy would likely never have a girlfriend. Today, perhaps that has risen to a 4 or 5 guy. And today women are much more accepting of sharing a top guy. Furthermore, I don't think average women today would accept an average guy even if they couldn't get a top guy. They would just cry "I can't find a boyfriend!"

As an average guy, you know how bad it is when even at the basic decency level, the average woman behaves rude or cold, whether it is at a cafe, cash register, or reception counter at a building. It will only get worse.

As a below average 5 ft 8 man, I'm learning more and more that women are not worth chasing today. Yes, that's me in the photo. I'm not great looking and I admit it. I wish that prostitution was legal and decriminalized world wide so that more men can experience the physical side of sex even if they can't experience the emotional part. If anything I want to become a therapist to help men especially deal with reality and how to get them to be the best versions of themselves while keeping their happiness as critical. I will never be a high value man unless I had a very well paying job and be successful in a very active therapy practice where I make 100k+ a year. It doesn't have to be therapy, if I made 100k+ in another field that would work. That's hard to achieve and requires a lot of work to even have a chance. I'm going to level and say that women compared to men have it very easy in dating. Just be thin and pretty and that will open the doors. Even older women like between 30-45 can still date men if they take care of their bodies and looks. Genetics are part of it but if they keep their looks maintained including weight they can really extend their dating. Men must be successful, tall and attractive (usually good looking) and that will be the minimums. However, to get the high paying job is a lot harder for men to achieve than women who mostly just maintain their attractiveness by keeping thin and pretty. It's more upkeep for women but men who get high paid jobs really require more of them than it takes women to keep thin and pretty. There's no sociopathic boss to deal with, there's no difficult exams, there's no networking with jerks, etc for women in this one context. So as a man of 35 and below average looks I say find your happiness somewhere else if dating does not come easy to you. Succeed only for yourself, and if you live in the west do not get married. If nothing else, we as men should do the minimum that we need to live our lives comfortably and leave the rest behind. Because in terms of dating, today's market just isn't worth it and often many men don't have a chance anyway. It's a shame because a lot of guys will be great husbands and fathers if they had the right guidance and right circumstances but hey if women want to chase the top level guys fine let them do it but I think men should close the door behind them when they decide to run for the best. In a world where no one owes you anything yet especially expects men to sacrifice and work then we should cut back as men and do the minimum required until women change their tunes. i think by now that 1% of men hold all of the women: i am 30 years old, very good in shape, going frequently to the gym, 6 ft. 1, work as doctor and have a very good salary, several hobbies, nice social life. my friends and siblings would rate me a 6 to 7 by looks, if a dress well i can look like a 7.5 or 8 maybe. so i would consider myself to be in the top 30 to maybe 40% of men. unfortunately thats not enough: at my workplace there are no women who try to flirt with me, if i cold approach mostly i get nice declines (sorry i have a boyfriend), and with tinder bumble and so on i get a few matches per day (mostly really obese women with tattoos). it´s really a zero sum game. i am convinced by now you really need to be a chad and look at least like a 9 or 10 to have somewhat of a chance. i try to focus on my hobbies, sport, work and familiy. even though it would be nice to start a own family in the future, but the likelihood of that is slim.

Forget about pursuing women. Unless you have a disability, focus on improving your health by going to the gym or doing exercise in your bedroom. Work hard and smart, and take advantage of any opportunity to aim for a prosperous and wealthy life. Women will be attracted to you if they see you living the life they desire. Once they approach you, treat them nice enough to make them stay close to you but at the same time, make them understand that they are replaceable and avoid putting them in a fucking pedestal. Most of them will stick around. Also, learn about female nature and what do they respond to. You need to know how they mind works. It looks complicated but it's actually really simple. If other women see you being with other attractive women, they will instantly think that: A) you are not a creep, B) you are pleasant to be around, C) you may have something of interest (money, a huge tool, good skills in the bedroom, etc). That is how women see us. I regret to say this, but you need to avoid falling in love, never fully commit to any woman, and adopt a mindset that may be considered psychopathic. Exploit every resource and situation you have, but do not let your emotions cloud your judgment. Additionally, help your brothers if they are struggling, since men like us often don't receive support, especially from women. Let's exercise together and support each other through difficult times such as job hunting, overcoming trauma, and addiction. Life has always been challenging for men, and we must accept it as reality. Instead of complaining, we need to take action and accomplish our goals, whether by ourselves or in groups.
