There is no zombie game fatigue, there is just bad zombie game fatigue. Make a good zombie and people will love it. I think this looks promising so far.

There is a reason why they showed off the Horde at E3 2016, it is what sets their game apart. Again at E3 2017, they showed how you can use the horde to wipe a camp of enemies.

The more I see from this game I can tell that it doesn't look like the usual zombie game. It looks like it has quality that will make it a special game for me.

This is one of the games I've always wanted. I played a lot of zombie games but I didn't love any of them. Days Gone looks like it can be the best open world zombie game ever. I loved Last of Us but that is not open world. I hope Days Gone is awesome.

If a game or movie is good there's no such thing as fatigue. Marvel consistently makes fun movies and they've been doing it for a decade straight. They just get more popular. I like this dude. He knows what's up.

Wow, had to stop reading the comment and just make my own. So many people are incredibly stupid! This is Alpha gameplay so a lot of the things you morons are complaining about will be fixed so just chill. For those complaining that it just looks like another zombie game have obviously not watched all the videos for this game. They have explained many times what makes this game unique to the genre. The whole why are they called Freakers thing, I have to agree with. I can't remember if they explained in a past video or not but if they are just being called Freakers to avoid the zombie label then it needs to go. With all that being said, I am still super excited for this game. The more I see and learn about it the more I want to play it!

I was so incredibly impressed by Both E3 showcases of this game, now that we're closer to release, this footage, and interview has me very worried. To all the clipping and the framerate, that was not at 30 most of the time, to him not being able to really see what makes zombies boring sometimes, I really am hopeful for this game, maybe at E3 this year they'll reel me back.

This guy makes a great point... antagonist's have to have physical limitations to make it more grounded and realistic. Dev's should focus on that more when making scifi/fantasy games.

I feel so bad for this guy, now the game is out and is getting all this hate, he seems so passionate about it and just looks like a nice kinda guy who’s work is being shat on and it’s really sad looking at him because it kinda shows that it hurts. I’m ashamed to say that i gave into the hate it got in the beginning and decided to not get it, figuring it must be bad, but the more I heard about it from peoples personal perspectives and not reviewers who probably played a few hours of it, I decided to get it and I’m loving it, sad how years of passion and hard work from this guy and the rest that worked on it can be shat on so quickly by people. It’s like people are so spoiled with great games they’ve forgotten that games can be not trash, not legendary but good and fun, this may not hit home as much as a game like the last of us but it’s definitely a good game to me so far. 3:18-3:22 "Things are going to happen to you along the way depending on how careful you are, depending on how much you pay attention". Hearing this means it is going to be that much more fun to stray, wonder off, and explore. Hopefully I can have a melee build of sorts. Looking forward to getting caught off guard.

The answer to the what makes this open world different "You don't have to go find faction wars and get involved in that. You can be on your way to a mission and get knocked of by an infected wold", but thats just a basic dynamic encounter. Tons of open world games have that. A recent example being far cry 5 and how you encounter cult members in vehicles along the highway or whatever whilst going to an outpost.

So what makes the game unique is their take on what a "realistic world of zombies" would look like. I'm interested on that alone actually. This guy said he read and watched alot of these movies and books so he will have the most experience on how the game will actually function according to the real world. I've been looking forward to this title ever since E3 2016. I feel like it's a lot of people who play other genres of games who often see yet another zombie title. For me, the zombie genre is something I will never get tired of. Ever since both Shaun of the Dead and Resident Evil 4 came out, I was in love with the whole idea of surviving against zombies. Then a few years later, I played COD WAW zombies and that was awesome (and still is). Then Red Dead Redemption came out with Undead Nightmare and had an awesome campaign and survival mode. Then the last of us came and I loved that, but it was more of a stealth approach. This game appeals to me, and I will definitely be getting this because I will never become tired of the zombie genre. Can't wait to play the game. I can tell you guys are passionate about this game so I look forward to what you'll create with it!

People were scepitical about the last of us but that turned out excellent. Im optimistic for this game too.

I'm probably going to buy Days Gone. The thing I like the most about it from what I've seen so far isn't just the constant danger depending on what you do in the open world, but the horde system. Just the thought of walking around only for something bad to happen and a group of Freakers the size of a small town are giving chase, piling up on top of each other to get past obstacles. I think *that* is awesome

I'm super pumped for this game and I hope it feels like The Last of Us what open world and more fast-paced.

I am not a fan of the Zombis genre, but something about this game seems special. Looks good.

A lot of open world games nowadays have it to where there’s always a constant threat, whether it’s bandits or wild animals. He don’t seem very knowledgeable of other games but I really hope this game turns out amazing.

I am more excited for this than Last Of Us Part II honestly. But man some of the footage looks rough (I know it is Alpha, but still. We saw this game two years ago).

This will be better than State of Decay 2 for sure.

I love how he starts out by saying "for people who dismiss it just cause it's a zombie game, all I can say is try it" Then later he goes on to dismiss alien and fantasy genres just because he's "not into it". He even says, "oh well if you have demons you can have anything." What? You're making a zombie game, whose to say your zombies couldn't have crazy powers. I honestly thought this game looked sweet when I first saw it but the couple videos in the last two days are what's now making me skeptical. So they are having the reverse outcome they want with this marketing. It almost seems like they're worried and trying to convince people early or something.

I've been waiting for this ,I'm hoping there are lots of upgrades and gun customization this is gonna be great ,and graphically another epic game

Honestly, after seeing the creative director for Spider Man talking, this guy seems too nervous and cant even describe to us a feature that stands out in this game. Plus, the HUD is cluttered and i hate that 20xp pop up everytime you hit a zombie. Looks awful EDIT: Im not saying the game is awful. In fact, im gonna give it a chance, since i actually like zombie games. I just meant that the 20xp pop up looks awful.

Pay attention.. a lot of clipping is happening and I don’t know about y’all but it kinda takes me out of the immersion when there’s this much. Other than that it looks great

I think there’s a clear distinction between “harder” and “tedious.” A fun game can be really hard, but it’s a rarity for a tedious game to be fun. They certainly aren’t mutually exclusive but it’s an uphill battle mentally to convince me to give it a chance when the roll of the dice costs me $60. Nonetheless I’m eager to read reviews and 30+ hours lends to the $60 gamble. 👍🏻

Bend studio..I have been watching and following Days gone since the beginning and i think you are bringing somthing new and fresh to the open world games we are use to and have a great new story to tell loved what I the gamer has seen so far cant wait for the release great job .

Open world that's dangerous all the time? Most of the open world games out there. But other than that, this game looks interesting. But if it releases anywhere near TLOU2, it is doomed.

Man, the amount of HUD/UI here is disappointing. That XP popping up on every shot is ridiculous looking. I liked the more minimal HUD elements of the original demos- I hate how games these days feel the need to muddy their graphics with large/colorful HUDs. Uncharted 4 is a great example of how to do minimal HUD to let the game shine- have less color, only show when needed, take up minimal space etc. Horizon is a example of the absolute worst way to go- the HUD is large, shows literally everything (items picked up, damage numbers, huge compass, waypoints everywhere, etc.) and distractingly colorful and stylized. Look I get that you can turn off the HUD, but they are part of the game design. If you want your game to be immersive and cinematic, reduce this stuff and try to convey the same information via animations, in game cues, etc. Please- game devs, stop slapping these ugly UI elements all over your great looking games!! Also, WTF with the 20xp?? If you get xp every single time you shoot an enemy...then who cares? If this is meant as a sort of "hit marker" then just use a hit marker like every other game... this is just bad decision making, and makes me concerned about other design decisions in the game... also "freakers" doesn't mean anything to anyone. I honestly don't think anyone in their right mind would see an undead humanoid monster and go right to "freaker"- this guy saying "freaker" over and over again doesn't all of a sudden change the fact that theyre freakin zombies.... i mean they were called "clickers" or "runners" in TLOU- but that described their movements and traits- "Freakers" tells me what?? they like to "freak"

The Sony trolls/fangirls are praising this game as the best zombie game ever while trying to literally shit on the highest selling indie zombie game ever(state of decay.) These people arent a fan of the genre, they are a fan of a system and ruin the community. If you were a fan of the genre(and not a fangirl in general) you would get both as they are completely different systems of gameplay.

I never get tired of zombie or open world games either., when they're done right- regardless of how many i've played in the past, i still enjoy them.

When I first saw Days Gone at Sony’s E3, I immediately thought, *“TLOU’s little brother!”.* The more I see of Days Gone though, the more intrigued by it I am. The open world/crafting experience paired up with the sheer number of Freakers in one horde is definitely going to keep this game alive for a very long time. 💯👌🏽

this game looks so fucking cool. but what do you expect from the awesome guys that developed Syphon Filter?

What i like about the game so far is the fact that we actually get to be afraid of zombies. We never seen a zombie game with huge hoards, apart from l4d, which is what zombies are all about. Not only that but we play as a survivor and not some hero trying to find a cure. Being able to explore the open world without any human players being douches is also a plus since we really don't get many open world third person zombie games that aren't online oriented. And lastly, we can use guns. A huge gripe i have in zombie games is how we have to limit ourselves to only using melee weapons or fear losing our gun. Im glad i finally have an option to shoot zombies. Im hyped for this game!

I have a good feeling about this game, because there hasn’t been any zombie game where you fight with a horde , they obviously have to fix some bug issues because this is an alpha footage and is not over yet, but I do believe this is going to be a different type of zombie game with an inmersive story
