In this video, we look at a 2008 Country Coach Intrigue. We will inspect the roof and do a fairly complete walk-thru of the inside of the unit. Dicor self Leveling sealant: amzn.to/30BsPfj

I love country coach. In my opinion, they we're the best built coaches and have stood the test of time. What was happening in central Oregon in the 90's was pure magic, the guys who came from Caribo and started Safari, Monaco, Beaver, and Country Coach, and Marathon. Better than anything that came out of Elkhart Indiana
@FrankBullitt3902 жыл бұрын
Winnebago needs to bring country coach back, although it would compete with their newmar brand which is likely why they won't.

Any advice on not scuffing up the roof. I wear soft rubber light grey bottom shoes but I always seem to scuff it up. I think the dust and fine metal (rusty dots aftter rain) falling from the sky doesn't help.

Great roof inspection. The rear sewer vent is probably for the washer/dryer. Also I think some of those coaches came with the forward roof ac unit able to run on the inverter so over the road you didn't need to run the generator if extra cooling was needed in addition to the dash air.

I own a 1991 Country Coach Affinity 40 footer and it's just about as rock-solid as the day it was built. Mine has no slides, but it is the 102" wide-body and is very roomy inside. My only real complaint is the desert sun hasn't been kind to the clear coat over the fancy paint job, but overall it's as strong as an M1 Abrams Army Tank. It's sad they quit building these.

James, I really enjoy your Channel. Very comprehensive. I don't think you can beat the beauty of that wood in the Country Coach. The only curious thing that you said was that you felt that a fiberglass roof was just as good as an aluminum roof. I don't know if I would agree with you on that one. Yes if repairs are needed, an aluminum roof repair would be more extensive. However, I don't think you can beat a Newell roof.

James what is the difference between the gel coat roof and the fiberglass roof material on the Winnebago?And if I understand Dicor shouldn't be used on the Winnebago roof but the Country coach has Dicor on it. Proflex Geosel should be used on the Winnebago not Dicor,correct? Thanks for another great video. Jeff

I have a 2016 KZ E17FKTH. The problem is on roof. Awning side. The awning drip edge mount that screws into the trailers roof. The screws keep backing out. So I put silicone in them and screw them back in. But the problem I have is they are stripping out. I asked the dealer and the manufacture but like always the dealer was a little more helpful they said it may not be a wooden stud but a C channel stud so a long Ribbit would work a lot better. I said what about taking the ceiling apart inside to look what’s in there. He said as a tech I don’t recommend it because it is a pain in the butt for us and we know what we’re doing to put those ceiling panels back in. So since you’ve done so many roofs in your 20 years what could you recommend. Because I really love this camper I take care of it I watch you other channels to keep up with the maintenance on it it took me six months and a lot of research to find one that will do exactly what I bought it for. To carry my Trike motorcycle and to save on hotel cost to the places I like to visit.

I would first drill holes inbetween the exisiting holes and see if there is anything there first.
@NackDSP2 жыл бұрын
I have heard other people use tooth picks to help a screw grip a hole that gets too big. Silicone is soft and won't hold a screw. I would drill it so the hole is clean and then dip toothpicks in epoxy and jam a few in the hole. Wait for it to cure then drill small hole and put the screw in.

I own a 2003 Country Coach, could you elaborate on the water leaks? I haven't found anything wrong with ours, but might be looking in the wrong places. I'm the 2nd owner up until this summer it never sat outside unless it was being used parked in a heated garage. In fact it has never been winterized and we're talking Ohio weather. We are moving to TN soon our new home has a 30X50 RV garage so again it'll be parked inside.
