Do what’s fun! If they don’t allow you to rotate Goalies. And you gotta pick. That’s pretty tough because no one wants to make that decision for you. We all want you to have the most fun out there. A recommendation may change, depending on your age, type of hockey (ice, field, roller, or ball) and affordability to play. Personally, I started as a skater, learn the fundamentals, skating, puck handling, and strategies. And then transition into Goalie when I realized I was better at that. And it was more fun! I definitely recommend playing ball hockey this summer if there’s any league still going. And just have fun with it. To give you some perspective. I started as a Skater (5-6 years old). Then switched to goalie at a power skating clinic lol (7 years old) then at 18 I was goalie coaching at got better at shooting and skating. And switched to Player and it was like learning the sport all over again. And now I play both.

both are ok as long as you practice skatin a lot!

@@MrHeffyy I’m skatin as much as possible but right now the only Ice is an hour and a half away, and I don’t think they have the ice there in the summer, right now I’m just working with roller and I was on them yesterday and a wheel came off and I lost the bearing, I was able to skate home but not before another wheel came off, I just checked to make sure they were tight enough the day before last. The new bearings are on the way but idk when they will get here

@@HayesWest-ys4vv then do hand eye coordination, look at my course online so you can learn through video in the meantime. get synthetic tiles to skate on at home.
