Yeah, every time I hear this story I'm surprised by how everyone seems to gloss over the paedophilia. Literally the only time I've heard it addressed is here when Bobby describes seeing the security guard and Katherine responds "that's what a paedo looks like". But generally everyone seems really unconcerned with how an adult - and one who was supposed to PROTECT the teens at the prom - instead took advantage of an emotional and vulnerable underage girl.

Other ethical issues aside, age of consent in Canada is currently 16, raised from 14 in 2008, so it technically wouldn't have been illegal. I'm not saying it wasn't terrible in many ways, but it wouldn't have been legally defined as pedophilia.

I, too, dated a security at my high school 😵‍💫🥴 LMAO. It gives me so much comfort that I’m not the only one lmao. Different starts to the story but yay for both being young vulnerable girls who had to learn a lot lmao. He was 23 and a like soldier for many years lmao but it’s obviously weird to look back on but this gives me a cute like ‘Aw well what good will come out of it all someday’ hope to look forward to so, thank you for that ♥️ cause it’s obviously not like the best story to have for me LOL but her being open and honest about it and funny and such good coming out of it all and her man, all jokes aside, accepting that her younger like traumatized her didn’t make the best decision bc she was upset and young and like yeah idk just all of this is heartwarming for a girl like me and little me as well so ❤️‍🩹🥰 thank you

Oh my goodness. I had a good look at the babies dummy and it brought back a memory with a shock. I had a dummy like that when I was 2 or 3, that was decades ago. I sucked one and the other one went under the pillow, I can remember doing it. I liked the smell of them. I suppose they were made from rubber and perhaps people don't want to use plastic ones now. My grandmother came one day, the sash window was open and she pretended to throw it out of the window and said "you don't want that anymore" It has only just occurred to me that I never asked for my other dummy when I went to bed. I was robbed.

Took me a sec to realize what the baby’s dummy was (🤣 I did pediatric CPR every year, that was my first thought!) But I’ve learned two things, and Thank You! You’ve just made me feel like a wonderful Grammie!! My little grandson‘s dad wanted a set date for him to give his up, but he’d had a really hard couple years and I knew he was Not ready for another loss. With much encouragement he agreed he would hold one in each hand, rather than “the good one” in his mouth and the runner-up in his hand or under the pillow. I used to feel slightly bad for not explaining the agreement to his mom, now I won’t-he Needed that constancy in his life a bit longer!

They do seem to be at least 6’ apart-with vaccination requirements, distance, possible testing?, plus passive immunity from mom-and maybe she cleared it with his doctor. I probably wouldn’t choose it but sometimes you Can’t leave your newborn. And I expect a lot of performers’ incomes have been very limited. Lots of factors…. And passive immunity is a real thing.
