I just don’t get how it’s not ridiculously obvious! How can anyone stand MSNBC right now? Yes, Reagan was in early stages of dementia towards the end of his SECOND term. Joe was in more advanced dementia while running for his first term. Huuuuge difference. I’d advocate we require publicly released cognitive tests annually for all public servants

I was infuriated during the 2020 campaign with the DNC for allowing him to be the candidate. My family (including a liberal adult daughter, who ended up voting third party) all recognized he should not have been running.

@@jglee6721 I thought 4 years ago he was in serious cognitive decline. But there are other causes of that besides Alzheimer's. He has not been evaluated for dementia. Even assuming he has dementia, that does not mean he has Alzheimer's. He may or may not have that condition.

I've spent time in professional school(pharmacy) i saw his decline from a mile away. My parents said they would drug him up like they did for the state of the union address. I tried to tell them that there was no drug that would make up for his failing mental state. Especially when you have to have a conversation which is what the debate was. His rigid gate (the way he walks) all scream rapid declines in mental abilities. The media chose to look past them. There's no way he makes it 4 more years.

In a later episode a young tearful [yet seemly unremorseful] staffer steps forward and in a shaking barely discernible voice... whispers ever so gently that they believe the 80+ President has had "memory and functional" issues for years. But the staffer even though pushed by a veteran reporter - never uses the term "dementia" as its a medical term and they are not a qualified professional who can make that judgment.... and [END SCENE]
