I was impressed that they were sane enough to come up with that, even after three months out in the wild! Normally you would lose your mind and go crazy after a while, but they seemed perfectly fine and well, at least mentally!

Not really. It's more about the ridiculous twist. Normally you'd expect them to have cannibalized the other people on the plane and done more horrible things to survive but as you can see well the truth was more bizarre and hilarious lol

I was hoping it was going to get a long talk about how they finally found them and how the rescue efforts are still ongoing and they'll be glad to hear that they found you and then at the end of the speech they all just look at each other and then charge you and eat you

This was the last time this people had been seen including the rescuers. The last signal of "Mayday, Mayday, Mayday" was made by the Rescuer Helicopter's Pilot. The another attempt of the Rescue was made shortly after the Mayday signal. The another helicopter was dispatched towards the origin of the signal. However nobody has ever heard back from the 2nd helicopter.
