This happens in large part because the guards don't assert themselves. Being too polite is becoming detrimental. The guard should have yelled at him to move.

why was that woman at 1;03 being so stubborn! just take the picture or move onto the other horse and take one! i was so confused why she would prefer to stand there and wait around like that when there was no need.. her daughter was liker her mum lol

So happy you managed to catch the Life Guards leaving! We're not going to see them again in the following 2-3 weeks (maybe a month, I'm not sure)🙁 The Royal Artillery will take over guarding Horse Guards this Friday, on the 28th (or so i've heard). This means we are not going to see the Blues either☹ Thank you for filming one of my favourite troopers from the Blues, I'll sure miss him and the others in the following weeks😢. I believe the horse he is on is called Majesty (i don't think i'm wrong because the blaze is very unique) I'm not sure why the Royal Artillery takes over (last year it was during the month of June), but i believe it's for "holiday" purposes for the two regiments of the Cavalry (although there is no holiday per se at Wellington Barracks, they are off duty from Horse Guards). Hope you have a great evening and a good night!🙂 P.S.: The kiddo in electric green and black t-shirt and white cap at 27:12 is absolutely awesome, hahahah!!🤣🤣🤣 Holding his nose!!(because of the horse specific smells)🤣🤣🤣🤣 At least he was brave enough to go near the humongous horse (as opposed to him) and take a picture!😉

The horses actually go on holiday to the seaside. Check out the video of their 2023 holiday in Yellowcraig, it is brilliant.

@@margaretshanahan9754 Yes, i know that video, as well as others done in the years before 2023. However, the seaside trip was only 2 days in July last year, if i'm not mistaken, one day booked for the Blues, and one day booked for the Life Guards. They are just team-building days (or in the team-building spirit, as it is known mostly in the corporate/multinational environment) not a holliday per se. Fun but short. At least the seaside part. It wouldn't be possbile any other way, since the beach is a public place. I know they are taken to the countryside, which is the main holliday location for them. The name of the location starts with the letter M, but my memory fails me now heh

Come on Guards, you know how hot it can be slap on some sunscreen before you leave. Keep yourselves safe in the sun, hope the horses have some too on noses and light spots. My dog wears it all over and any pink bits such as noses and tums, but then she is a diva sunbather, I have to time her sunny sessions or she would become a dog roast!
