How do Download and UNZIP or EXTRACT Your Embroidery Design Files

In this video, Julie quickly shows you how to download your embroideryas designs from Designs by JuJu website and UNZIP or EXTRACT your files to get you on to sewing!
You do NOT need a special program to unzip your files. This feature is built in to all Windows PC computers.

OMG! You are a true blessing. I am dyslexic. How you explain things determines how well I can learn the process. The way you explained everything was exactly how I needed it to be broken down so I could soak it up in my brain. I knew a good bit about how computers worked, but now I will be able to save all my embroidery files. I just bought a bunch of end to end designs. Going to put them to good use. THANK YOU!!!

I purchased and downloaded 4 items from your website. I use windows and when I unzipped my files they went through Adobe Acrobat Reader. Did I hit something wrong? Or does this sound right?

I just bought designs but the way my designs are unzipping seems a bit different. I click on download then my Jeff format, then download. From there it shows the files in my pC>downloads >then it comes up extract and I choose... but doesn't let me really save toorganize?

Do you need to do something different if you have a Mac? I don't see any zip files...

I am really struggling with Windows 10! I haven't been able to open an embroidery file as of yet. I am feeling pretty bummed.

I have Windows 10 and I'm reluctant to purchase designs for this reason. I'm afraid I won't be able to unzip them. Has anyone answered your question??

Continued in regards to download....I am choosing my portable hard drive, but it comes up replace the destination bc the destination already has a file named "Designs by Juju instructions_terms_copyright. Etc.

Hi Julie, I just signed up to your site and have purchased an applique design. I have downloaded it and unzipped it but I am having trouble getting it to my Design Database Transfer for my Brother machine. Is there an easy way to do this? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me. :)

We are not familiar with Babylock software. For software questions, you'll need to refer to Babylock support or manual.

You left out the fact that you have to have a program like WinZip installed on the computer or you cannot unzip the files.

Thank you for your comment. However, you are mistaken. You absolutely do not have to have any type of special program on your computer in order to unzip it. You have not had to have a program such as WinZip since windows 95. All windows computers have the ability to unzip the file as per my video and it is built in.

@@designsbyjuju I have tried sevral times to unzip or extract files I have bought with no success, but I will watch your video again and try again. I had extracted some in the past, but for some reason was not able to recently. Maybe I just missed a step or something. Thanks for your reply. I'll try again and let you know if I have a problem. I love your designs and patterns, especially the mini wall/desk decor quilts. This is the first time I have tried ITH projects and I am addicted to them.

the women went to fast slow down most of us can't read as fast as you where going. lol however I did enjoy the video.

I agree! She went waaaay too fast and it's hard to follow when she's clicking here and there so quickly! They'll probably be annoyed with for saying this, but for them it's second nature, for the rest of us, who are older and not as computer savvy, it really needs to be shown s-l-o-w-l-y with a whole lot more explanation of what, why, etc. and where NOT to click or what happens if you accidentally click where you're not supposed to!

On every 'KZfaq video' there is a picture of a gear on the lower right hand side of your screen(within the video) click on that and there will be a 'Playback speed' you can slow the video down or play it faster, or the ability to 'pause' and go back over the video multiple times as needed is there when the video is available on 'You Tube' hope that helps
