Which model did you buy? If it's a Lidar model like M1/LS series, T1, or N3, the same floor area will be created simultaneously and cannot be separated. However, models that support three maps such as the M1 can be created separately. The prerequisite is that the creation of the map needs to be separated from the places that have already been made. Other models can't create maps and only see the real-time running map. Hope it helps.

The M1 is a replacement item from an older robot vac that allowed you to section off areas in the map and select areas to clean automatically at different times, and not being able to do this is a real step back. While I am loving the cleaning power of the product I have to say that discovering this unit can't divide rooms and allow for auto scheduling of certain areas is a real disappointment.

The customer service is extremely poor and currently you can't purchase a N3 filter replacement. I have attempted to contact Lefant and they keep ignoring my emails. Hello, at the moment, the M1 paired with the Lefant app is capable of sweeping in specific zones. When accessing the app's map interface, take note of the "Partial Cleaning" function located at the lower left corner of the map. Click on it and draw a box around the area you wish to clean. This will allow the M1 to navigate to and clean your selected area. Rest assured that the Lefant app is currently undergoing internal testing to enable direct tapping on the map for area cleaning in the future. PS: If there is a map in the map manager that means the map was saved successfully. Hope this can help you.

However sometimes the "app's map interface" is empty (for example after a short sweeping session): in this case is NOT possible to select the area (as there is no map visible), even if I correctly see the registered map in the map manager section. Plug in your charging base upstairs and let it run the entire area you want it to map. Let it go back to the charger by itself. Do not interrupt it, or it’ll lose the map progress & you’ll have to restart the mapping. Then plug in the charging base downstairs to do the same thing.
