This is one of the most observed practices I have with my Muslim friends and students. I may be Catholic by denomination but it just makes sense to greet someone with peace in a language they are familiar with in the context they are at ease with. The intent that one person's life be at peace is a significant gesture. The last part of passing on the peace was something I didn't know of but will surely keep in mind and do as a gesture of good faith and friendship to the missing party and to the one I met in future circumstances. Thanks for doing this video and explaining it more clearly for those who wish to observe the practice.

2:45 What? This is completely false, the Verse says peace be upon who follows guidance, firown didn't follow guidance. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Do not initiate the greeting of salaam to a Jew or a Christian (Narrated by Muslim, 2167).

What should i do my neighbours are Muslim and whenever I say salaam alaikum they just give me a dirty look and walk away. Should i keep saying salaam alaykum when ever i see them or should i stop.

⁠@@Hassan-nu3rpWe Muslim aren‘t allowed to wish disbelievers peace, forgiveness and other things for the hereafter. But we are allowed to wish good things of this world like guidance, health, good day etc. Maybe you could try and greet them with other things like good evening. Musa Alaihi Salam said : peace be upon the one who get guidence ! was fer3aon get guidence ! ofcourse not and One more thing Ali (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “When a group of people passes by, it is sufficient if one of them gives a salutation, and it is sufficient for those who are sitting that one of them replies.” Related by Ahmad and Al-Baihaqi. So like ( Rad Salam fardh kifayah) ALLAH knows best
