Very informative video, many thanks for uploading. One doubt though... in the video you have mentioned that one pilot cylinder bottle is provided to open the main distribution valve, whereas the other bottle is for opening the cylinder head valves. Is this correct? I was under the impression that one pilot cylinder is enough to operate both the main distribution valve and the cylinder head valves.
@marine-knowledge-basha
@marine-knowledge-basha 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment sir... Your understanding is right of there is less number of co2 bottles one pilot cylinder is enough.. But the one i mentioned is for ships having more than 800 co2 bottles... So these bottles are divided according to the cargo hold size.. So each channel has one Pilot cylinder for the respective hold.. I beleive This reply will satisfy your query..

@@marine-knowledge-basha appreciate your effort and great work indeed, regarding pilot cylinder in most system for ER total flooding, 2 pilot cylinders are provided one for activating the distribution valve i.e to ER space. then the other pilot cylinder is for activating the cylinder valve of high pressure co2 cylinders as we all know then only you will achieve 85 % saturation within 2 mins. the manual valve usually cocks for releasing pilot lines have a interlock first you will open the distribution line and then only you will open the co2 cylinder valves pilot line and you also have a time delay unit in this just to buy some more time for escape.
