Agreed, the role of advisors can only be overlooked, but not denied. I remember in early 2020, during covid-outbreak, my portfolio worth around $300k took a slight fall, apparently due to the pandemic crash, at once I consulted an advisor in order to avoid panic-selling. As of today, my account has yielded big fat yields, and leverages on 7-figure, only cos I delegate my excesses right.

It's not IF but WHEN it'll happen to you & having something put by can be a lifesaver! Uncertain times reminds me of what truly matters-loving family, a couple of genuine friendships, basic essentials like food, clean water and shelter. The fact of the matter is everything is fleeting, and we can’t take material possessions with us to the afterlife. These sad times is a reminder to remain humble and to have a grateful heart because in an instant, things may take a turn for the worse. Our culture is spiritually malnourished. Many are worshiping people, places and anything and everything but the Creator. America and other nations are deep in idolatry and don’t want nothing to do with God. History tells us the favor of God will not dwell where He’s not welcome. We ought to pray for repentance . We ought to pray for all nations 🙏🏾 Pray for a peace of mind and to endure in such a time as this. How about we start obeying God, and leave the consequences up to Him. Grace ✝️ and peace🕊️💝

@@crashtestdummy1972 for most (myself included), the balance is decreasing regardless of if you are retired and taking money out or are saving for retirement and leaving it in It’s shameful to accuse others of “trying to scare people” when you’ve obviously done no research on the topic and are minimizing the experience of people who are in the nightmare of watching their only money source decrease drastically. Those people live off that money and it is absolutely a loss to them. A family member of mine’s retirement account decreased by $70k, another’s account lost well over a $100k, and I myself have watched my meager 401k decrease by over $1,000 in the last month alone. The news is told what to put out, when to put it out and how to put it out. Be as strategic as possible and watch your surroundings. Also pay attention to what's going on in the entire world and look for what you don't see. The US economy showed signs of weakness in 2007. In the summer of 2008 the US Government changed the rules of the “mark to market” rule making bank record non liquid assets like houses to zero on their balance sheets (which I believe was wrong) and then that fall the banking and investment sector had a meltdown. The US stock market went into a nosedive I believe getting down into the 6000 point range. Then the day after the Federal Government reversed the summer 2008 change in “mark to market rule” in February 2009 the stock market started climbing again, and kept climbing. So February 2009 would have been a great time to invest into the stock market.

It’s normal for me to have close to a year or more of food. That’s what a pantry and deep freezer is for. It was like this growing up as well. I don’t even consider it an emergency. Just prefer going to the grocery store every 4-8 weeks to pick up a few things instead of daily and weekly like most.

@@blackworldtraveler3711Those of us who grew up out in the boonies learned to always have a well stocked pantry to get through the winter. It just comes natural to us to keep supplies on hand. We realized we couldn't just run to the store for 1 missing ingredient or a sudden craving, like those who lived in town could.

Absolutely, without question. All you have to do is remember the recent toilet paper craze where the animals were killing each other over toilet paper. TOILET PAPER!! That was very eye opening & disturbing. Think of what they would do if they didn’t have food. Stores would be decimated in mere hours if something catastrophic were to happen. You most definitely should have a healthy stash of canned goods ie veggies, fruits, beans, fish, chicken, etc plus waters of all types & sizes. Bottles (to not be wasteful in small meal preps), gallon jugs, distilled (in case of sickness/babies, etc), first aid kit / medical supplies, flour, sugar & salts because salts are required in the human body & preserve meats. Theres lots of good videos here on YT that can give you helpful ideas. Also if you don’t have a lot of room for storage, clean out bottoms of closets, under beds etc & uses small boxes to store items in & tape them up with a label & date. Start with $40 or whatever you’re comfortable with & go from there. Lastly, keep your preps on the down low because you don’t want others to know. This is for you & your family’s future. God bless.

As someone who grew up through the LA Riots in 92 I can tell you that society is headed that way for another massive civil disturbance. Americans are stressed out, angry, tired and have easy access to firearms. Pandemics, Inflation, Gas Prices, work hours and world wars are taking a toll on people. Society will eventually recoup but its going to get worse before it gets better.

You should speak for yourself. I’m fine. Not stressed out, angry, or tired. Have a shotgun, three semiautomatics, and two crossbows. Pandemic was a voluntary three months without pay (vacation) then early retirement in June with package with company medical/dental/vision among other things. Inflation is no big deal…..have to spend to be affected. I fill my car with gas once or twice every 12-18 months. Don’t need to work. Always been wars and hot spots in the world….you just notice the big ones that make headlines. I plan to travel more. Going to my 66th country this year.

Have a plan in case there is an unprecedented collapse as well, because that type of thing happens in real life on occasion. A plan to hold firearms and ammunition if you see fit, a plan to stay in shape, a plan to know how to gather, grow or hunt food, and a plan to collect and filter water. Being prepared and never having to implement that plan is ideal. Not being prepared and living through total uncertainty would be unimaginably bad.

This is such a unsatisfying response. So essentially, don’t prepare because you not in control of what can happen tomorrow. You know what I think the problem is. Dave R. can’t deviate from his marketing message. No one should allocate funds to emergency preparedness if they have debt because doing so will go against his “Gazelle intense” debt payment brand.

@Contact_DaveRamsey_now.. I listen to your show regularly along with your associates individual shows. Great money advice. I wish I knew then what I know now at 65. I do realize your style is very much in your face, which for the most part I love that “tough love.” As a very middle of the road politically oriented person, I think we may not be on the same page politically. Using terms like the “Fauchi Pandemic” are divisive. Don’t forget, he was an advisor to then President Trump. Trump did not have to take his advice and close down the economy. And, maybe it was the wrong decision in hindsight, but with thousands of people dying daily, decisions had to be made. My point is, our country is so divided adding fuel to the fire doesn’t help. All that said, I would love to get your opinion on whether to hold onto real estate. I’m 65, my husband is 68. We only have about $120,000 in our retirement account. We have no debt and live comfortably on Social Security and continuing to work part-time. We don’t plan to draw on our retirement until we have to and we are continuing to add to it as we can. We own an older home (think lots of upkeep) worth about $500,000. We also own an adjacent 146 acre lot that has a very low tax bill of under $100 per year because of New Hampshire’s great conservation rules that keeps our taxes on this timber land low until we build on it. This property is worth $200-300,000. Are we being smart to hold onto this property until we need to sell it in the future or as an inheritance for our children if we don’t need to sell it? Or, would it be better to sell it now and invest the money? Keeping the land always seems like the best choice to me because they aren’t making anymore of it. But, I would love to hear your opinion.

Some day Revelation 13 will play out and even those who have “much riches”, as well as the poor, will be under control of the antichrist who will be reigning in the Holy City for 42 months. Jesus said only the Heavenly Father knows the day and hour (times) of these events. Revelation 12:11 promises victory for those are not heavily “tied” to life in this world. Being rich in this world’s goods is not the most important thing in life. In John 12:25-26 Jesus shared this truth: “The man who loves this life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me and where I am my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.” (NIV). Blessings, as we seek to serve Him.
