How do we teach history in our homeschool?

Жыл бұрынWas history class a snooze fest in school? 🙋🏼♀️ How is it that public school text books managed to make history SO boring? Why don't most history textbooks tell us WHY people of the past did what they did, what they believed, what their values and passions were? I'm so pumped about this WAY better way of teaching history to our kids!!

I just ordered volume 1 on Amazon!!! I'ma see how the kids like it then get volume 2! They are already doing Notgrass so this will just be extra reading for us all to do. Thanx for sharing. I've never heard of the Tuttle twins but I'm hearing great things so I got all of their books too. ❤️

Thanks for sharing! History was so dry and boring to me….wish I had this curriculum taught to me when I was younger. Haven’t tried any of the Tuttle Twins books yet but I think I’m gonna jump in on it

You could definitely try one of the smaller books to see what you think of their style first and there are sample pages on their site for the history books you can look through too! I'm with you!

The link to purchase the books says that there are video lessons as well that come with the book. Could you give me some information regarding those lessons? Are they animated? Are they directly tied to the book content? My son is a visual learner, so video content is important to me. Thanks!
