I’m an Anglo Indian born in Kashmir to Anglo parents who decided to leave India for Pakistan in 1947. I’ve always been proud of my Indian heritage. My parents left Pakistan for Australia in the ‘60’s. I still cling to my roots with a huge amount of respect to both sides of my DNA .

During the British raj, when india was a colony and was ruled by the British, many britishers had to move to India leaving their families behind. So they got settled in india and married indian girls. Their children were called Anglo Indians. British father and Indian mother. However it was not always happy ending. Many of them left their wives behind, went back to England and never came back.

Well your experience is still different to him, he spent his entire childhood in India whilst you moved out when you were only 13, so you grew up in the US. His story is quite interesting even though my friend had to translate this entire video 😂
