This is the question that keeps popping up wherever I go. How do you best manage wild deer? To my mind, the answer lies within our humanity, common sense and ability to think rationally. Similar problems may need a vastly different approach in different areas.

Keep raving on, Clark. Most people cannot see past the end of the weekend. Responsibility starts with the individual and the future is at stake. Forget all the climate nonsense and look after what we have. One of God's first commands to the first people was to have "dominion" over all creation. That word is not about dominating or abusing creation. It means to care for and manage, to help the creatures to thrive in a sustainable way, just as a gardener tends and cares for their garden to produce good food.

Well spoken, Mate it is a pity only a handful of people who got the common sense to preserve what we got.

Great message Clark. Glad I have bought a monthly coffee for your work just this week. I am very keen to get back into hunting after quite a break and will be booking in for training soon for a licence. Also very interested in your onsite introduction course. Really enjoying your vids. Regards Tony Beaudesert 👍 (Originally from the Tweed)

Our herd control program is now back in action with our April stag program underway, followed by hind and stag programs throughout the year. Join the RIDGE and get involved 👍

People need to get behind a push to be able to hunt on State forests etc like in NSW.

People need to look at what the RIDGE has done. They have created a path whereby it is now possible to have SF Hunting instead of SF helicopter shoots and thermal shoot and leave lie programs like in NSW where herds are being devastated. The gate towards SU management in Qld will open now if we have a change of Govt.

Everyone needs to get behind the push to allow crown land hunting in Qld under a system similar to NSW

Do you mean a system where helicopter shoots are the order of the day and you can use thermals to shoot everything you see? Bring that in within a State where the vast majority of the well managed deer herds are on private land and what you will get is slaughter, slaughter and more slaughter until they are gone. So too will be your right to own a firearm. Well done!!! Look at the work done by RIDGE, they have an alternative path called Sustainable Use Management.

Clark, I commend you for your efforts and it must be horribly frustrating, but remember you're in the US and it will be like pushing water uphill with a spoon full of holes. If your average Yank has a gun and he wants deer meat, he'll do whatever he needs to do to get some. It's the Wild West 2.0 out there.

Tend to agree. Our hunters are their own worst enemy but they keep their heads stuck up out of the sunlight and blame everyone else. Just trying to politely say, Wake Up !!

Incorrect. Watch a few more of my clips and have a re-think. Here is the scenario, get rid of them all, then hand in your firearms, or pick them up (as in other countries) when you go to the range then check them back in. Careful what you agree to throw away.
