I had a question recently about the Mirage 2000’s radar and how to make sense of it, so I hopped on a server with limited enemy players and made it my mission to locate and kill them - this video is a “How To” for the entire process; from start up to getting the kill.
I remember when I started playing DCS and the multiplayer environment felt extremely daunting, there are a few tips in this video that other people gave me to help work things out - I accept that it’s long for what amounts to getting one kill, but that’s how long it takes in DCS; if you want to be getting kills every 5 minutes, you’re playing the wrong game.
The specifics of this video relate to the usage of the Mirage 2000, but the basic premise of finding out where the enemy are coming from and following BRA calls (which could come from AWACS, EWR reports, TAF or a human GCI) could just as easily be applied to any module in the game.
