I'm from Buffalo and I say TURONO. Buffalonians have the same tendency to drop the second t from many words. Even the name Buffalo itself is usually just pronounced by us as "Buff-lo" dropping the second last vowel.

I'll never live it down that I pronounce all of the t's in Toronto! Being from Buffalo, how do you say Buffalo? Do you drop the a? -Cheryl

@@JandCToronto Usually yeah, it'll sound like "Buff-lo" but every now any again that middle vowel will sneak in lol

I went to Toronto in 2017 and i ask this question to a bus driver and he told me Torono because the 2e t stands for tourist

Someone taught her wrong ..my dead grandparents said torono... my dads 75 and he's only known it as that my whole life I think this is the first time I heard anyone claiming to be from here say it that way . I just asked him and he says his grandma. My great grandma .. said it that way too lmao. Thats goin back to the 1800s

In Canada Toronto is pronounced almost like we the spanish americanos do.

To-ron-to , with every 'o' pronounced like in "got" "spot" "lot" I can't understand why english 'loves' to remove vowels or consonants -_-
