Nagpur really needs to do something about rash driving and driving without helmet.

Absolutely. So so many head injuries, every hour we used to get edh, sdh patients. For this exact reason, I pretty much stopped driving 2 wheelers completely since last 1 yr

If you know the Indian healthcare system, even if you hit your head badly but can still function normally, doctors often dismiss it. They think you’re just overthinking or exaggerating, and they tell you as much. Most of the time, they mess up. You only get quick imaging if you’re unconscious or on the brink of death.
@beautiful_sky1118 күн бұрын
every head Injury in fall from height or accident cases, conscious or unconscious needs to have CT scan done, you must have gone to some local (jholachaap) doctor. or maybe your head injury wasn't serious.

Similar case : a person had a motorbike accident, after few minutes being unconscious he got up and went to take a break, probably had something to eat and tea. After 5 hours or so he died of brain hemorrhage. For 5 hours he did not removed his helmet and as soon as he removed the helmet something happened and guy dropped dead in minutes.

My mom had a fall, we got all the scans done on the same day. For a month she was perfectly fine. Later she started losing her balance and we could notice hand to mouth coordination issues. We took her to doctor again but since the scans were Normal they diagnosed it as vertigo later she had a fall again and lost her consciousness for a min or two. After 2 hours we took her to hospital they did a MRI and was diagnosed with sub dural. That’s when neurosurgeon said that after the fall blood vessels can break anytime until 6 weeks. So on 1st day everything was fine but over the time blood was collected between the brain and skull and that blood was pushing the brain causing coordination issues. She has to undergo burr hole procedure which removed the liquid blood from the first fall, blood vessels had broken immediately during the second fall so there was some semi solid blood as well, she underwent craniotomy to remove it. Now with god’s grace and doctor’s perfect diagnosis and surgery she is doing perfectly fine and is leading a normal life.

I had a crash and I remember my friends saying, the doctors asked the person who got me to the hospital if at any moment I had lost consciousness. No one was aware as no one was present when I crashed. Eventually they said, chuck it, we will do a CT to see if his brain is fine.

Similar incident happened to one of my far relative. He had an accident and hit his head but after getting unconscious he gained consciousness and went to his home. At random times he used to fell down unconscious. This went on for several days until he was taken to the hospital. After the CT scan it was found out that he had a haemorrhage in brain. Unlike your case, it was too late and he couldn't be saved.

Thode din us ne pain feel Kiya and kisiko bataya nahi or apna kam karta raha thode din bad us ka injury vala work karna hi bandh ho gaya tha. Fir doctor ne sab procedure ki or kaha ki injury ki jadah par blood ka bahot bada tumor hogaya hai and esa bhi kaha ki hum kuch kar nahi sakte. And thode din me he passed away. By the way I am not a doctor, ye story mere papa ne muje batayi thi jab hum hospital me the
