I suppose so? His work was an essential part of my growing up and read all of the books! I also have regular film viewings too since they’re my comfort films! (The hobbit not so much but the LOTR films yeah). The first thing I ever bought with my own money too when I was eleven was a replica of the ring haha

@@NormaNight And this is what kinda breaks my heart over the whole situation. I'm sure that for you, you probably LOVE the lord of the rings. But now you're catching the fallout from Amazon using you as a front to push modern ideals into an archetypal, timeless tale beloved by many... even those who aren't directly represented in the works. So although you've probably worked quite hard building your brand and probably harbor a long time love of the legendarium because you took the hand of the megacorporation you're going to keep catching the flak you have probably gotten nonstop. Which is also gonna make most of the people who have an issue with HW pushing "the message" down everything's throat look like exactly what they call the vast majority of us: hateful and prejudiced. But just know some of us are not without empathy, we're just tired. You can see these same threads being woven into most media from music to games. The algorithms are safe, they avoid lawsuits, but most importantly they'll keep making money. However, you guys in the fellowship of influencers did make your own choices. Y'all may have to make another super fans video when the NDA's run up so you can review the trailers again in 2025 or something.

Aaa the different eye choices are so fun, I'd take forever to choose! I'd likely go for something mythical, like imagine how sick the eye of Sauron would be. Or, like those glass spheres that look like there's a galaxy inside, an eye that looks like a nebula or something!

I have a prosthetic eye too and since I was 3 as well. I change it every 5 years (because only then do I not have to pay for it, it's covered by my medical insurance). I used to ask for a blue eye when I was little but was always told it would make my flaw more obvious. Can't say I am at your confidence level even at 27 but hopefully I will get there in the future. Loved you as Bellatrix!

If I ever had to get a prosthetic eye, I would get a gold eye with an hourglass pupil. My favorite book character is the wizard Raistlin Majere from the Dragonlance series. He was cursed with gold eyes with hourglass pupils, so I think that would look awesome!

I think it's a nice green! Glad you didn't get persuaded. I tend to let people persuade me too (maybe it's an infp trait :P). I love Rain's idea about the working compass. That would be next level! If I had a change, I'd get a brown eye. Maybe it sounds silly to some, but I grew up incredibly jealous of everyone's beautiful brown eyes in my family while I got stuck with grey eyes. I have to say tho, its incredible how well they colourmatch eyes! I had a friend with prosthetic eye and it took me a good few months to realise one of her eyes wasn't moving the same... oops.

I get that the real everyday prostheses are made how they are made but I was wondering if you could have some special effect eyes made of plastic or silicone or something that you could wear if you were to have something weird in your eye like a dart or a telescope or a tentacle? Or would something like that be too uncomfortable?

A person that makes prosthetic eyes is called an Ocularist. Mine takes two trips, the first is for the fitting & shaping. The second trip is for final coloring, like doing the blood vessels and final fitting and polishing. It's been a few years but I think they cost about $8000 USB. It is an art so I think the better the art they more they can charge. Sorry, but I think getting a novelty eye to show off is a little "off".

a working compass as an eye sounds so cool! I think if I had to get a prosthetic eye that isn't my natural colour, I'd get either a dragon eye (red/orange. kinda sauron-y), a human looking green one or on the more abstract side: an eye that looks a bobbin capsule.

Any topics related to the Silmarillion, Lord of the Rings? Doesn't seem likely. Don't get me wrong. If Amazon asked me to go and give my opinions on something even if it had nothing to do with my content despite the fact that there are MANY content creators who speak at length about LOTR related lore and the legendarium at large, I would go, no doubt. But I might have or ask some questions directly related to the most critical parts..... It comes across contrived and insulting. It's like if I wore my Hogwarts Alumni shirt in my vids and pics, but my channel never mentioned ANYTHING about HP. So I don't blame you or the "fellowship of influencers" for accepting what was a fat juicy invite. And behold: You are probably getting more traffic than before. More people probably know of you. But Amazon tried to pull a frame job and selected folks with no vested time discussing Tolkien's Legendarium. So I wish you success.... I just wish Emperor Jeff and Hollywood at large would stop milking IPs for money and blaming fan dissatisfaction for NOT prioritizing good writing over check boxes to make money. I'm not saying you're not a fan either, my friend watched the fellowship of the ring like everyday for a year, but he cant tell me who Feanor is, what Galadriel's husband's name is and why she doesn't need a sword in hand to be considered powerful. He couldn't tell me about Belladonna Took either. Is he still a fan? Sure. Would I pick him for my trailer review? Only if I thought he wouldn't say anything bad about it.

Just saw you on the lord of the rings Amazon prime show. Can I say that Amazon are not interested in you, or only your disability and you being not straight. I nearly lost my left eye to a cat when I was 9. Now 50 I still have very little vision in it, and nearly lost it to retinal detachment. This has not stopped me going about my life and living it to the full. Running my own business in the TV and film industry. I have never used it as a crutch to get free stuff or think I'm special. I was disappointed you use it as such, because again Amazon doesn't care. The video you appeared in has been now removed, because we know it was a vanity project to promote this show. I know the world has changed since I had my accident, but don't use a disability as a give me more because I'm etc.

You are an inspirational person. I have so much respect for you! I also watched the Amazon prime trailer and saw this lady pretend to be a super fan with a very entitled attitude, as a PoC I love the world Tolkien created as it is and wouldn't want to destroy his art for my own entitled vanity. Very disappointed in this "influencer".

I have hazel eyes, but if I had a brown eye, I would have picked a blue eye, because I'm kind of obsessed with Husky dogs with odd eyes (one brown eye, one blue eyes) and when I was a little girl, I had a mutt dog (half Lhasa Apso/Half either Shih Tzu or Poodle the also had dd eyes, and I loved that dog, and I loved her beautiful eyes! I would totally get that. IDK...
