Even in the vastness of the ocean, the size and power of a submarine are impressive. But its greatest potential lies in its stealth, submerging and becoming almost invisible to the enemy's eyes for months.
Until it needs to surface again to replenish supplies such as food and water, fuel, and ammunition, or even to conduct maintenance.
But how does it manage to submerge and surface again?
