Such a sweet relief that this question is finally giving a reasonable answer. Now how do you think CatDog is born? I recall that Dog suggested that his and Cats parents are also a CatDog. Yeah that's a bit more questionable than the poop question.

The final theory would also explain the contradictory instances of stuff coming out the other end. There's a connection that bypasses the digestive tract, and one that goes through it. All the regurgitation that happens on screen is because they're not working together and/or they've been caught off guard by something coming up- more like a burp.

Why would you be surprised that Catdog has two souls? They're two seperate people, and they have completely seperate minds

I always thought that they just digested 100 percent of organic material that they consume and toss up anything that is in organic or just can't be consumed. Notice with the cake how we only see the candles comeback up but not the cake itself. In the ep where they join a circus you can argue that the food was passing through them so fast it never got a chance to get fully digested.

I figured it was like some sort of owl pellet sort of thing where they digest the food to where the nutrients are absorbed, and they just warf up a ball of bones and fur wrapped around the ick.

We never see the bottom of their paws. It could be that they have the poop hole on their paws

In regards of which side the poop comes out from.... Since the fart from the bubble episode came out from the bottom half, it's safe to say that the same goes for poops. Also, I love how there's this one guy who has public testimonies as to how they poop.

Honestly the colonoscopy bag theory could hold a lot of water (among other things ba dum dish) especially considering all of the medical condition coding the character seems to portray in the show and it’s themes.

I have a theory. I believe that catdog is much like a giant desert centipede, with a false head to evade predators. But unlike a centipede, both halves are sentient. This may explain most if not all of the points brought up in this video. They share a spleen, colon, and stomach, but have separate lungs, hearts, and brains. This may be so that if one side were to die, the other side could live until the dead side was entirely replaced by living tissue. It is established that if one side gets hurt, the other cannot feel it. This would allow the living side to be able to escape alive and potentially remove the dead tissue (ew). Now that there is a clear reason for the two halves being seperate, we can now theorize as to how they poop. My theory is that they both share a hole, as they share most of their digestive organs. Now the next question is how they pee... I have other theories about catdog, but they aren't relevant to this theory. If you have any questions about catdog's anatomy, I might be able to give you an answer

As a kid I was with the 4th theory, with the addition that the hole was bang in the middle and so they each had their own *ahem* special boy parts, which is how dog peed on his own.

So my theory, which isn’t covered here, is that CatDog is quantum-linked with another being, which is likewise a cat and dog joined together, but this time, it’s their asses. So when Cat eats and needs to poop, it comes out of the cat-butt on the other being, and when Dog eats and needs to poop, it comes out of the other being’s dog-butt. Of course, this raises the question of what such a being’s life would be like, but I feel like that’s a question I am not going to be able to answer.

great job edd, loved this video! i used to watch cartoons at the dentist and for some reason whenever i went, catdog would be on. loved watching these silly goofballs, and i never see anyone talk about this series nowadays, so this was great!

The thing that seems really consistent is that stuff going in one mouth can come out the other looking at how the digestive track is handled seems like the stomach has two entries and they have some control on just passing it by. Or even the tube goes from one moth to the other with a stomach entry in the middle.
