This week Reactions takes a look at the chemistry and science of how chemotherapy and other cancer treatments work concerning breast cancer.
Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. Fortunately, the rate at which we’re learning about this disease means patients have a lot more treatment options and far better chances of survival than they did 100 years ago. If there was a cancer on left breast, and there was a lump on right breast, and while on going chemotherapy, if right lump becomes cancerous, does current chemo treatment treats right breast as well, or doctors have to change the medicine.

In the future, there will be more and more treatments for cancer, they will cost more and more money and will be used on more and more patient because there will BE more and more cancer patients.

You have a very sweet and innocent voice, and you present quite an upbeat scenario while briefly mentioning drawbacks to chemo/radiation therapy. If you yourself developed cancer and went through these treatments I wonder if you would sound the same afterwards, if you indeed did survive such medical ordeals. I wish you cancer-free luck in your career, but do keep in mind that there are alternative treatments available if you should ever need them. I have used two which worked for me. I have been cancer free for twenty years now and never lost my hair or became weak and nauseated. I am enjoying the best health of my life because of lifestyle changes. It sounds strange to say it, but I have to thank cancer (not medicine) for being able to make this statement. I am glad not to be contributing my body to the financial growth of BIg Pharma and many aspects of the practice of medicine.

Almost nobody talks about the probable connection of aluminum base deodorants with breast cancer, the human diet has changed since the 1800's but it'll be important to notice that the percentage of breast cancer keeps growing. Could be linked all this aluminium deodorants we usually apply?

Whenever you think of a reason why there is more cancer now than in the past, it's usually irrelevant compared to the fact that there is more cancer because people grow older thus increasing the rates of cancer in the population.
