Lets do an exercise. If you put McCaffrey on the current Saints roster as it stands today...are the Saints Super Bowl contenders? If your answer is no...then no, you do not pay Kamara anywhere close to McCaffrey money. Not because he cant be as good. But because he by himself does not move the needle enough. McCaffrey is MCCAFFREY because of the team he plays on. A top o-line with probably the best tackle in the league. An accurate QB with a grasp of the scheme. A proven playcaller with a dynamic playbook. Enough weapons around him to keep the defense honest. And a good enough defense of his own to get takeaways/stops that give the offense more possessions and him more opportunities. Now...how much of ALL that do the Saints have. Oh, btw, the 49ers havent given out asinine contracts the last 10 years and arent constantly in salary cap purgatory. So they can afford to hand McCaffrey more money. This isnt apples to apples..the Saints are NOT the 49ers. Kamara is my favorite Saint by a mile. But RBs are replaceable. Thats just a fact. The Saints have WAYYYYY more issues than getting production at that position. If he walks, he walks.

They shouldn't be in the same conversation. Kamara often hurt, suspended for criminal conduct, I want a new contract. Dude, put down the pipe. I don't know anything about McCaffrey's personal life or conduct but as far as I know he hasn't been suspended for aggravated assault. McCaffrey also has a gear on the field that Kamara no longer possesses.

McCaffery produces and Kamara has been a bust the past 3 years, they aren't even in the same stratosphere since they signed their last contract, Kamara isn't even a top 10 RB anymore.

Lmao kamara missed 4 games and finished in the top 10 in yards from scrimmage from a RB. That was with poor line play and poor play calling. Watch what he does next year.
