Another very enjoyable reaction. I have watched this performance countless times over the past year, and I am still moved to tears each time. This will always be one of my favorite Dimash performances. Igor Krutoy (on piano) composed this song 25 years ago for Alla Pugacheva and modified it for Dimash to sing for this concert given in honor of Mrs. Pugacheva on April 8, 2019, in Moscow. As you might already know, Igor Krutoy came out of retirement to compose masterpieces for Dimash after watching his performance of Sinful Passion in 2018. He is finally able to compose music without constraints placed on him by the vocal limitations of ordinary singers; high notes, low notes, whatever his genius mind can conceive, Dimash will be able to perform. Someone explained on another person's page the different elements of the song. There are three sections: In the first and longest, Dimash addresses the audience, describing his dream-like love. In the middle section, Dimash lives the dream. Notice he disengages from the audience; his eyes are closed, then he opens them and looks up. The audience has ceased to exist for him. In the final section, he wakes, notices the audience again, then tells them how the dream made him feel. Which is energized!

When Dimash sings, I completely forget he is singing in a language I don't know. It just doesn't cross my mind!

Remember to always check for subtitles and put them on in closed captions so you can understand the lyrics. This is sung in Russian by the way. Don't get too distracted by audience reaction in certain areas of the world. It's very much a cultural thing. You noticed they're not screaming in the middle of the song and they're not overly exuberant like Western audiences. That doesn't mean they don't appreciate what they've heard. You will see more effusive audience reaction at his regular concerts. Igor Krutoy is a famous and renowned Russian/Ukrainian composer. After hearing Dimash sing a number of years ago he came out of retirement in order to collaborate with him. He has since rearranged his own original music for Dimash's voice and written/composed new music for Dimash. You will often see him at the piano during Dimash's performances. When you do see him you can be assured that he has had a hand in composing or arranging the music. They now have a close friendship and collaborative relationship and they are a force to be reckoned with.

The audience in Asia is restrained because the culture shows love and respect in a different manner- they swamp the stage with bouquets of flowers, which I understand, Dimash donates to local elder care homes or other facilities. I love Dimash to the exclusion of other performers except Hua Chenyu, a Chinese national treasure. I can’t listen to the shallow American performers anymore with their blatant lack of promoting anything but themselves. I get even more excited when he sings 'normal' vocals. His artistry overtakes the the many other-worldly things he can do with his voice and he can just sing a song and make you weep. Dimash has just released a "short" movie/song, the most expensive music video ever made, called "Under one sky" it's 13 mins long, it is EPIC, emotional, The music and the "movie" are one, they are the same, it is not one accompanying the other or showcasing the other. That said, the movie, does showcase, Dimash's singing voice, AND his acting skills and is extremely emotional.

You MUST appreciate the soft breathy notes just as much as you do the belting and higher notes! They are just as difficult - if not more - to maintain - and just as mind-blowing!!!!!! Other creators of lyrics and music, offer to write a d compose for him. And of course Dimash himself is a composer and lyricist. Kne is his earliest that I know of is cal,ed war and piece. He composed the music at she 17. His performances are amazing. His recent production, again speaks to the destruction of life. Called one sky. As I said in a previous comment, it's worth watching the official. Video and then his performance in his Almaty concert in Kazakhstan. His 1st in his own country. Dimash does all genre of music, but he does tend to "dimashify" them a lot and not all are songs are epics like this one, but definitely all are wonderful to listen to. You can't go wrong with Dimash. I look forward to your reaction to Stranger (New Wave 2021). This man is music in human form. The emotion, passion, and voice are impeccable. Even when ill he still sounds perfect. Also you might enjoy Screaming. It's his own song and the music video is perfection.

If you want a mini movie you should try Be With Me or The Story of One Sky, I would do Be With Me first, so you can see a completely different side from Dimash (the MV is like a fun James Bond movie). I saw him in concert last April in Prague, amazing! I also saw Aurora in concert last September, if you don't know her, check her out, Runnaway (wich she wrote when she was eleven y/o) or Conqueror are good songs to start with. Love your reactions!

I think Dimash is to be enjoyed, more than analized.. He has such a talent and also a lot of years of education, practice and discipline and also a lot of passion and love for what he does.. I like watching reactions because I keep learning a lot of stuff about music and singing ( not that I want to be a singer or a musician), but Dimash is in another level, he's one of a kind.🤩🤩

What a wonderful reaction! Subscribed for more. That note you rewound twice to hear again has always been my favourite note of this piece. Dimash gets a lot of attention for his high notes, and they are spectacular indeed, but what he can do with other notes, like the one you rewound, is enough to break your heart with their beauty. I agree, we should all be paying to hear what Dimash does. It is, as you said so well, much more than singing. If other vocalists are singing, we need a different word for what Dimash is doing. Thank goodness he was born in the internet era, or we would've never heard him.
