The Lebreton site is too small. Ottawa made the mistake of splitting off some parcels at the site which hurts to potential for an arena I think.

Now AC is the skeleton of the Winnipeg Jets and on that note. It's just tough to turn around on that team. The city has been thrown a really hard market as a sports venue because of the empires that have come up and the new deals that have been made that learn from the clubs mistakes along with the pens and islanders. We were one of the best for sales at the time in that period though because we had the business and city to support it. The real problem. No cup and we all know who the best captain has been so far. Big shoes for Brady to fill and he knows it. You see this attitude change on the ice, you see his style playing. He's working on it and that's better than a guy who chose to up and leave for San Jose. That right there is the most commendable thing anyone has done yet for the city and Danial started with a career and living change just like that. Which is the right step forward, but a captain like just like Danial. Brady needs a good GM that on board to build a good team(we're closer) we need a coach. That said the city and NCC need to get on the same page and I doubt it will because there is two priorities in this city Park space, and Commercial space. Of which the Municipal needs to work with what it has and start making bids for these federal buildings that are vacant and the Glebe needs to sit back and listen for once rather than add their two cents in. The city needs to stop making these hideous concrete buildings with asbestos in them from the 1970s historical sites. We need to level some of them clean up the mess take a hit as tax payers to create movement for property in this city. There are lots of commercial business that want to build in the city. The problem is there is no land. We're selling our Greenbelt to grow rather than building up. Stop bitching about skyscrapers when the crown still owns crown land. FFS.

Why? Because when a team costs close to a BILLION dollars which Reynolds is likely 90%+ short of. His actual 'ownership' stake will be minimal and will be a name game rather than an actual tangible investment as a part of the group. They say if its 'close'. What is close? Would you leave even 10 million off the table (1% btw) just to have Reynolds buy your property? All things being equal, sure, he's a good fit but unless the bid is the same or more, why would you even care? That's a big ask and likely a non-ask for most.
