If anyone is interested, you will likely pay more than 25 divs just for the 2 jewels and the progensis flask alone. So that is literally the minimum cost just to start this build before you start putting the build together

There is also that mastery for flasks that gives you 4% life when using one, and they are basically all the time up (and automated). I now feel so slow and squishy on normal characters, it's kinda crazy.

you can always take the health es hybrid cluster on the top right of the tree for a bunch of life nodes that give you an es mastery for "stun threshold based on energy shield" and suddenly you don't have to think about what can and can't stun you

currently running petrified blood + progenesis + sorrow of the divine for zealot's oath on pathfinder. so gives about 3.5k hp and energy shield per second. with 4k hp and 1k energy shield, it's pretty tough to die. i only die reliably to maven beams and if you go red altar there's a debuff that drains your flasks so it can screw you over sometimes.

ive actually thought about these 2 to go with a gens cry bf setup. that build has never had issues with dps so slotting in even petrified blood+the 2 jewels would skyrocket its defences and make it a little less "glass cannon"

This combo works great when u have no Energy Shield and take energy shield mastery and make ur stun treshold based on 60% of ur energy shield instead of life so u get stunned almost all the time but ofc u don't really feel it

On bloodnotch builds, I don't really like investing in evasion. If you can take an es mastery for stun based on ES, you will basically get stunned every hit (especially so if you have Agnostic on a weapon or EB). Pathfinder has enough layered mitigation options via elemental flasks and 100% phys to ele that you can't really get one shot in maps and if you setup the Bloodnotch combo with Progenesis mitigation + bloodnotch recovery > 100%, you get healed from hits. You can also fairly easily get 42% recoup on the tree to deal with the staggered life loss. So Evasion just does very little for investing a 50% aura or a flask, both of which are super valuable on PF. I'm also not a fan of the life flask ascendancy notable on these builds. It is very powerful, but also fairly tedious and not that necessary. A little bit of regen or leech will keep you topped up through dots with Lethe Shade on, especially if you become poison immune.

You can also use the Mastery Stun threshold is based on 60% of your ES instead of life, run Blood rage so no ES and use the last mitigation with recoup on 3 seconds, ez.

I hope nothing is "better", but instead just "different" so we have so many that GGG doesn't feel the need to nerf it as people won't feel they are "forced to build this way".

For me, Aegis + EB + MoM felt like a must for almost all builds I've played recently (with either high armour, or armour + evasion combo, and with suppression whenever possible). But this combo looks incredible, I'll have to try it out.

You know what else looks to be a cool combo? Pathfinder life flask that isn’t removed at full life, and the leech mastery that gives you 25% recoup when leech is ended by filling life. So, you run around with life flask rolling, and when you get hit your life fills up from the flask, leech ends, and you get 25% recoup. Should be up almost all the time but I haven’t tried it myself yet

Feels like something I should get into ASAP cos I tend to get slapped to hideout once or twice per map in high red tier and sometimes even in yellow tier maps. Not that my defences suck, I have 60k eva 30k armor, 4.5k life and capped out ele res and spell suppression. On a path finder. Dun really have much in the way of recovery, just a wee bit of life regen and on hit, but I am running blood of the karui life flask cos it feels very nice in delves. The reason why I tend to get killed is cos this league I opted to run deli, cos my sub 1m dps toxic rain build is giga fast at clearing trash, so deli mirror farming and delve, which is like 90% trash and the rest can be ignored is kinda the only thing I can do. But in those fun deli maps if there is a breach, a harbinger, or something else (even boss arenas sometimes) my fps plummets down to 7 and it is kinda hard to try to keep moving and shooting, and I end up going from full to 0 in the span of two frames. Even have cast when damage taken molten shell at decently high level, which is almost 3k extra life buffer, but doesnt really matter.

Definitely a cool combo. I'd like to squeeze it in, but jewel socket pressure is real. My pathfinder is still tanky in other ways with full phys conversion and elemental flasks reducing elemental damage. Immortal Call, Arctic Armour, and Progenesis extend the tankiness too...feels kinda weird ditching the tried and true determination/grace/defiance banner combo, but if it works, it works. I am similarly eager to see how the future of defensive layers shakes out.

Unwaveringly evil acrually turns off the jewel all us impending doom pathfinders found this out early before the jewels got expensive, if you take it you will be chunked while casting cause during the microseconds you are in your cast animation the jewel cannot heal you for whatever reason. Just want to correct this small mistake. Also if you take the mastery for stun threshhold based on es instead of life with below 1k es and everything will "stun" you but not stun. The only caviat is channeling skills will be cancelled no matter how high your stun block recovery is, reguardless of mastery or not.

I did really want to try poison spark on pathfinder sounds so good but not sure I'll last that long in league.

It's annoying how I have 20 Fortification + 5 Endurance charges + 79% ele res + 70% chaos res on a Champion and I still get one shot by 90% Crucible mobs or some Essences on red maps.

cheeeeers~~~~ even this league im trying ot figure out how it all works, and how a pathfinder can take adfvantage of it for some mitigation while still ignoring 9999.9999% of the setup hahaha~ im trying to make the 2 jewels + es stun thershhold mastery on PF with lethe shade and full ailment immune nad curse immune~ impending doom is weird but the micro stun interuptions dont necvessarily matter as much but mannnnnnnnnnnnnnn its such a weird combo to invest in sooooooo heavily just to save a critical flask suffix and some passives on the trees but im not anywhere near rich enough to run progenesis and i cant run petrified blood and im not running enduring life flasks master in favor of flask effect boost which i love~ hoenstly its the dumbest thing ive ever tried ot do, but with EB and all things working its 5 passives for 2 jewels, it was chea penough for now to test out for memes, and overall it doesnt "hurt" my build since its essentially just another defensive mechanic layer that allows me to not run stun avoid boots enchant and just get full gear for now. this is probably going ot be dropped unless i go all in on the progenesis meta but i just seriously cant maange it rightn ow hahahahah~~~~ wild options for future building tho is soooooooo much fun, and i can finally farm t16 maps so now i just gotta keep testing it out until i decide that the infinite stuns are fucking with my casting at which point i cna abaondon it for like 5 stun avoid passive and easy clap~ cheeeeeeeeeeeeeers

bloodnotch is NOT recoup. it's recovery. recoup is done over 4 sec (3 sec with mastery). notice that recoup does not appear anywhere on bloodnotch. bloodnotch = instant recovery. if you don't get one shot by the hit you will get up to 60% damage recovered INSTANTLY. i have 60% bloodnotch, 100% stun rate, 21/20 pet blood, and 41% progenesis (up from 25% due to flask effect). with master surgeon and spamming life flasks, there is nothing to fear except big one shots.

I have never pulled it off but I will this league. I can't say anything at the moment but it will reduce a double Atziri crit flameblast to 0 damage. It is going to be my secret build until I have acquired everything for it.

In one sense it's a cool and interesting interaction. But it also kinda sucks for the base game that you've got all these super broken and frankly janky interactions that aren't just a 'different' way to build/play, they're light years better. Meanwhile doing a vanilla build with most skills is difficult and with some (flicker strike!?) downright frustrating.
