Chaitanya Charan Das is a monk, spiritual mentor and author.
Building on his engineering degree from the Government College of Engineering, Pune, he has studied extensively the philosophical and sociological ramifications of modern science. Complementing his scientific education is his keen spiritual sensitivity honed by systematic and sympathetic study of the bhakti tradition for over two decades. He has been an invited speaker at several international conferences on the interface of science and spirituality, including the World Peace Conference 2006 and World Peace Congress 2008 organized by UNESCO. Based in India, he has given talks at colleges and companies all over the world from Australia to America. His writings appear regularly in several Indian newspapers including the reputed Speaking Tree column in The Times of India. Apart from 300 analytical articles (available at www.thespiritualscientist.com) and 4000 inspirational daily meditations on the Bhagavad-gita (available at www.gitadaily.com), he is the author of 25 books on a wide variety of subjects ranging from Science and spirituality, socio-cultural analysis of religion, and the ancient texts of India, especially the Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagavad-gita
He is a member of ISKCON’s leading intellectual body, the Shastric Advisory Council, which offers scriptural advice to the GBC (Governing Body Commissioner). Hare Krsna Prabhuji 1) When Krishna Says Material world is Dukhalayam he is not pessimistic but Pragmatic. 2) Place of Misery doesn't mean that you should forget the immediate cause you should analyise it but when you doesn't find out the immediate cause than accept it as a sign from God (Like When Pandavas realized immediate cause they got revenge But Emperor Parikshit Applied the second Option). 3) For applying the second option you need the means,Arth (Resources) for externality and Meaning (Arth) for internality, Like the jews who survived in concentration camp. 4) It is necessary to connect the meaning (Arth Of Heart) With Parmarth means with the Lord Vishnu and thus with our given talent and Varna we can make our part of world, a better place and even if we can't we will not lose heart like Sanjaya Ji And Srila Prabhupada Ji. 5) Purpose Of Bhagvad Gita As Acharya Jiva Goswami Says is to free the Arjuna and world at large from the clutches of distress. So If Krishna is pessemistic it will destroyed the Purpose of His Words Only. Prabhuji, Today I understand that why Acharya Chanakya a great Brahmin and diplomat says that the education of king and ministers must be in four subjects Anvikshiki (Sankhya, Yoga), Trai (Varnashram), Varta (Economics), Dandaniti (Diplomacy, Administration) First he put the Philosophy even I got confused with this but now I understand why vedic Philosophy is necessary and Why Lord Krsna himself give the Eg of Saintly or philosopher kings To Arjuna at that time I Didn't understand but now I understand due to you and my councellor and the grace of Srila Prabhupada. As A History student I used to understand the things through Historical And Political Perspective And Terminology It is very helpful for me.
