I never watched the show as a child. I do now and I love it. It's Incredible and heart warming , funny as heck, and dangerous all in one. They played their parts perfectly! They taught forgiveness, taught morals, shared dreams, lost a lot. They had each other and supported each other. It flowed beautifully, and the artistry in this series is simply delightful. I crack up every time I hear the same Cayote howl ! Hilarious, but somehow it worked. I am a true fan and I'm hooked for life!! I will share Bonanza with the world whenever I can. It's a wonderful show! It brings so much joy and happiness to my soul. Well done my friends! Bravooooo! 😄☺❤

As a child I would watch the show every Sunday night following the Wonderful World of Disney, everybody loved Hoss, as the gentle giant, and remember hearing the news break about his passing, such a huge loss, followed Michael to Highway to Heaven, another huge loss, then Adam, followed him also as he became Trapper John, and then Pa, Lorne Greene was such a memorable man as Commander Adama, and the father in the movie Earthquake, all great actors and people, miss them all.

Your comment brought back some good memories. I had forgotten that the Wonderful World of Disney was on right before Bonanza. My family watched that too and we never missed an episode of Bonanza. (It was my dad's favorite TV show.) Adam Cartwright was my favorite. He was "the man in black" and I thought he was so cool. But I also loved Hoss. He was kind and funny. Kind of like a big kid. My dad is gone now and I have not seen Bonanza in years but watching this video brought back memories of happier times!

Do you remember when Disney came in color? and we would all wait for that 'peacock' to spread its wings with all of those colors? I was about four or five at the time and we were so excited when color TV came out. Those were days of innocence which are now long gone. Children today know of lusts well before they enter into mid-school. It is the saddest thing. I didn't even know what a joint (pot) was until I was 29; a bit sheltered, yes. LOL

Little Joe's wife's brother got mixed up with some Gamblers & Loan Sharks. So I already know something bad is going 2 happen. I’m 57 and grew up watching Bonanza. I love watching it still to this day. Anyone who loves good clean television from the 1940’s to 1980’s knows what I’m talking about. Now I’m looking for classic tv and movie Channels to spend my weekend.

Great family show, my entire family would gather around the big ole TV to watch Bonaza each & every week ❤. I believe at that time it aired on Sunday evenings. As a matter of fact, I just watched an episode! The reruns air almost daily and I try never to miss one. Ben, Adam, Hoss, ( I recently saw that spelled as Hass) and Little Joe, the AWESOME Cartwright Family ❤. Shows like this need a reboot!!!

I grew up watching Bonanza, & I catch a rerun here & there now. It was a very sad day when the news that Dan Blocker had passed away. Hoss was my favorite character of the show. He was this huge man who was more like a Teddy Bear, & of anybody Hoss was dependable & honest & the show was never the same without him. I watched the show a little bit longer, but without Hoss the show lost it's shine to me. RIP to the entire cast who is no longer with us, that you for putting a smile on my face & laughter in my heart. You are missed.
