George Cole was known as Flash Harry in the St Trinians films well before Minder. Dennis Waterman was better known as Det Sgt George Carter in the Sweeney before Minder. Glyn Edward's was in Zulu well before Minder

Both brilliant actors and blended well together. Dennis was about the same age as me and I was sorry about his recent passing away earlier this year. Both portrayed typical London characters during the sixties seventies and early eighties. Sadly those type of characters are few and far between today.

Most of the scenes shown here are not from the series, they are taken from advertising George Cole did parodying the Arthur Daley role, but without actually referencing the character.

I don't know why the video is called 'How Each Minder Cast Member Died' as 2 of those mentioned are stated to be still alive and the cause of death of George Cole & Glynn Edwards are undisclosed. Peter Childs played Det. Constable (later Sgt) Rycott and not Des, the mechanic who was played by George Layton who was also a scriptwriter as well as an actor. The AI voiceover of this video also mispronounces names, the chracter Des shld be pronounced Dez.
