I started last year because i saw your vids only playing edison and started an Edison Format KZfaq Channel (shoutout plz lol) Your an inspiration and videos like this show me i should keep going! @@T3AMmokeyM0KEY I'd say that if there were no dragon rulers, mermeils and spellbooks, yugioh would have been excellent from 2006 to 2014, otherwise those three in the game, 2006 to 2012 and 2014 is the golden age of yugioh. After that 2015-2020 were good times, but definitely not as good and 2021 to present is just dumb.

@@E3YuGiOh Yeah, I've literally reconnected with old friends of mine I haven't seen in half a decade and now all of us play Edison. Personally, I forgot how much I missed a slower resource-based yugioh and it's the most fun I've had playing in a long time.

it might be the meta, or just the way its always been, but goat seems dull to me. Edison you can pick your boss monster. Goat its like bls sorc pretty much.

​@@Jannatul.Firdaus.255 True, in Edison there's way more 'cards' (pictures and names) but 90% of Edison decks in the meta right now have basically the same playstyle. While in Goat every deck has COMPLETELY different playstyles. Chaos turbo, Warrior, Goat Control, Burn, Cat OTK, Reasoning Gate Turbo, earth aggro etc. Also, just like in Edison, there are lots of decks that have potential to start topping but nobody plays them simply because they are not proven and most people just want to play the most proven deck to give them the highest chance at winning without effort/innovation.

@@E3YuGiOh Could you share the names of those videos please, because so far I have only known about the one called "Beginner's guide and intro to Edison Format", and it is great, succintly informative. But I feel like a high quality video that involves some real life duels cuts to hightlight the entertaining features of the format (nostalgia, many turns and reasonable pace, interactions, high skills, diverse decks,...) would better give people a general impression of what the format is and draw their interest easily, since gameplay is the most important factor. And then once they are hooked on, everything else like historical backgrounds, rulings, errata of cards, etc can be explained later. I know many people started playing the game after Link monsters were made. They could only played the modern version, and although they had some fun initially/ some of the times, they gradually get tired of the game because of the same reasons many Edison enjoyers had (uninteractive gameplay, high cost, monotonous decks, ...) but can not categorize those problems and know nothing about other ways to play the game so they never really look for other formats and just keep "suffering" the modern version while rarely and seemingly enough have some fun, if it makes any sense. So I think a video with little spoken or written information but just mainly fun real gameplays while cleverly demonstrate the fundamental characteristics which made the format so interesting will better suit them. And even other people who have never play the game
