not if in other games rebar decreases fps or causes instabilities from frametime stutter to even bsod in some cases! there's a reason SAM and REBAR are off by default, just like there's a reason why XMP memory (overclocking your RAM) is off by default. And it's not cause manufacturers want you to have less FPS and buy more expensive stuff, but for stability purposes.

A test with resizeable BAR on Intel ARC GPUs might yield a different result as they specifically require it to be on

Strange how some games show lower 0.1% fps with ReBar on. I never encountered stuttering with it on, but didnt play a lot of games with both off and on.

Did notice that too it made 0.1 lows much worse. Obviously more frame spikes.

not really, rebar/SAM off benefits the cpu part of the PC, thats is why you can get fps boost in games like warzone. In a game thats heavily pushed by GPU you benefit more from them

Try doing another test with a gpu with less VRAM to see if we get a different result.

There is a difference of performance with 12XXX & 13XXX CPU's using resize bar Vs earlier. Generally the 12th & 13th will see improvements regardless, earlier ones it varies a lot more. Same deal with the same CPU Gens using the Force Resize bar by editing the nvidia driver.

Actually the main difference is that the fps jump is very low or more smoother

In RDR2 the 0.1% low are messed up so it means micro stuttering.

Thx nice video! RB on gives 2 to 4 fps ... better than nothing but you don't notice if disabled 😬 I don't know if this technology is not really supported in games but it's not as expected when launched

For Wreckfest, this is awesome, 45 fps in medium, jump to +60 fps on ultra.... Wreckfest need this in Rx 6600...

@@savitargodspeed4712 Turning it on in bios will only work for some games. Most other games have it turned off by default. Usually you have to force it using Nvidia Profile Inspector

Note, you need to set up resizable BAR on your system first. From the bios. Although it does support only few games but you can force it in any game like so: 1. Download and extract [Nvidia profile inspector] 2. Open Nvidia control panel -> Manage 3D settings -> Add a program -> Find your game 3. Launch Nvidia profile inspector. 4. There is a button with 2 gears and a magnifying glass, to "Show unknown values." Click it. Rebar is now located under '5- Common'-> and the three options are labelled 'rBAR - Feature', 'rBAR - Options' and 'rBAR - Size Limit'. “

No this technology only supports nvidia cards from rtx 3000 and generation cpu from intel gen 10 and amd ryzen 5000, for best performance buss ram on 3200 and at least 16gb ram

I have a rtx 3070ti and always have it on in cyberpunk 2077 and red 2 and have never had a blue screen problem, it could be due to some other hardware in your pc like the cpu

First update your GPU drivers and VBIOS if need be. Second, if your motherboard is older than 3 years it may be that you're using an older version of your BIOS that does not support Resizable BAR yet, so flash your BIOS as well. Next you go into the BIOS, enable 4G Decoding and Enabling Resizable BAR should be visible then.

It makes my CPU usage 90-100% in games and GPU only about 70% (My CPU is Ryzen 5 5600X and GPU is 6600 XT)

AMD and Nvidia memory controler optimised for a lot of small memory transfers - REBAR ON with large transfers does not have impact. Intel arc memory controler optimised only for large memory transfers and REBAR ON has big impact.

In windows 11 it hurts 1percent lows by quit a bit. No free lunch. Why do they call it a Bar? Does not look like the task BAR, or a candy bar. Seems to be on/off so its not resizable. Whats up with the goofy name?

0.1% lows are lower but 1% lows are higher. And as 1% is 10x more often than 0.1%, you enable it! its a no-brainer.
