In this video I want to tell you step by step how the different electrical distribution systems TN-C, TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT protect against indirect contacts. I will also talk about the grounding of both the transformation center and the masses of the loads as well as the type of protections used in each system.

In the country I live in we use TN-C-S for most applications, TN-S and IT in a few niche applications.

In a TT system I believe the whole house RCD is upstream of the breakers. As discussed below, for safety there is never any breaker or switch to interrupt neutral lines. Also I believe the TCN-S system is so labeled simply because the feeder wires to the home combine N and PE together, not because there is a mix of downstream components that are fed with either separate or combined neutral. As a rule of thumb the bonding of neutral and PE (in TCN-S) happens at only one point between the service input and the main house beaker, and there are never any devices on the other side of that bond. You might consider doing this again, it is a useful resource. You might also bridge into how a broken neutral can change the neutral and ground voltage level throughout the home, causing some devices to experience higher than average voltage drop because of imbalanced consumption between the two lines of a split phase 120V TCN-S system.

Thank you very much. I have TN C-S system in my building, and a 3-phase lift motor with control panle in the sixth floor is connected properly to the system as you described and there is encased electrode that is conected to the building structure and to foundation sticking out in the elevator room can I used as earthing for further protection and ground the control panle and the elevator motor to it.

@@SCIENTIAPLUS "Robot" / "Robert" - you know :D great video though! I usually never believe what robots say, but in this video it was valuable information and easy to follow. Have you considered to use real human voice though? It would make your videos more popular (because many people hate computer-generated narration).

@@ZopcsakFeri Hello Ferenc, what do you propose?
@ZopcsakFeri
@ZopcsakFeri 3 жыл бұрын
@@SCIENTIAPLUS Well, there are multiple ways, and they are not even as difficult, since I suppose for the synthetically generated voice, you already have a script. So one possible solution could be to read it in your own voice, that would make it sound more natural. Another way could be - in case you don't feel the confidence to do this - would be to ask one of your friends with a nice English pronunciation to read it out for you - you record it, and use it as the narration. In both cases the results are usually more popular than the computer-generated versions. Of course they require mort effort, but people seem to like them more than synthetic voices. :) But this is just a mere suggestion - your video is still a very good one with useful information - I urge you not to feel offended by my ideas here. just in case you want to give your videos more "personality", then this could be an effective way to do.

In the IT system fault why the touch voltage is not as the same voltage of the supply?.
@okaro6595

Because of the high impedance of the earth connection. Also even the open circuit voltage is just 133 V because one has no neutral.

Why it is not recommended to distribute neutral in IT earthing system?
@coldscug
@coldscug 4 ай бұрын
I think there is no harm using the Neutral as long as its not referenced to the ground. The whole idea is to separate the installation from any potential difference to the ground.

at TNC CONNECTION , YOU put on the diagram a Circuit beaker on the PEN which goes to the load , which is wrong, as it is prohibited to break the PEN , Because this will isolate the earth to the loads, which is dangerous !!!!

Breaking the PEN energizes all grounded equipment cases. No fault in the equipment is needed. That is highly dangerous.
