Hot sand wherever you turn your eyes to - the Namib is the oldest desert of the world, and one of the most hostile ones. But even here, in a valley named Hoanib, there is life! Some animals have developed unique ways to adapt to the harsh life in such a dry area. The biggest of them are Desert Elephants! To survive in Namibia´s desert they have to travel long distances, full of privations. Only alpha cow Clarissa knows where to find the rare water sources. Food is scarce and the heat unbearable, for young Maya the next water source could already come too late. Old bull One Tusk even awaits a harder fate: he is too old and weak to join his family´s migration. While even the tough jackals leave the Hoanib valley during the dry season to find food along the coast, One Tusk remains alone, hoping that soon rain will bring salvation.

The Namib may be harsh-looking to human eyes, at first, but to those who live there, its manageable. The circle of life will always go on, even in the most unforgiving of habitats.

My high kudos upon those valiant & brave photographers who had spent for night & day w/ an infinite patience to procure those brilliant, unmissable, momentous footages in such incredible close-ups one after another in the the face of some perilous environments. The post-production crews like editors, audio men inclusive of the background music composer, a script writer, a narrator, etc. too did a great job to enhance a wealth of intrigue, thrill, & excitement, but they were able to do so at the opulent comfort of a studio in their country. That is the core difference from the aforementioned cameramen. By virtue of them all concerned, however, I soundly enjoyed, admired, & appreciated it. My heartfelt gratitude for that,,,,,(12/15/23)

That was a beautiful video about those dessert elephants it was a touching sight to see I'm very surprised that old one tusk was that old he certainly did have a good life and I'm sure he knew when his time was up and where he was going to die and he picked a very secluded place to go to !!! That was pretty sad but Clarissa has a new one coming all because of the son of one tusk !!!! What a happy ending ,she's a very Smart cow and she's still pretty young!!! Her mother was a very wise cow as well!! I feel when I'm saying the word cow I feel like I'm describing the a a fat old bag lol but I'm sure you know what I'm trying to say!! But great job on the video and a beautiful story!!! THANKYOU!!!! Ps if I haven't wished you a happy New Year's well happy New Year's 2024 to you NG 🍁🇨🇦🍁💔🎉🎈🎉🎈🎉👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️✝️🛐🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💯

Beau reportage.

It is stupid to blur the dead animals away. That is life. Birth, life and dead follows each other. That is the reality, we must not hide that.

I understand that "man" is not suppose to assist the animals they are documenting but mankind has slaughtered so many of these beautiful animals I think giving back to some of the subjects like giving one tusk or that baby elephant give them water and food!?! Look at it as payment for filming them...
