@@arkvsi8142 that’s the strangest thing, she’s not strikingly attractive. She isn’t unattractive, but she has nowhere near the looks or personality required to support this story. This actually doesn’t make sense. It’s a story developed by “Neofeminists” pushing the evil old white men agenda. These same people criticize men for not giving women opportunities. I can't believe the jurors ended up acquitting her for those 4 counts. What she's swindling, at the end of the day, involves test diagnostics outcomes, which impacted patients. They are not errors that are acceptable with a small margin of errors. Those acts were deliberate.
@fonarte

That's the crazy part. They didn't find her guilty of endangering the health of all the people tested with their garbage. Only that she was guilty of bilking money from the rich and powerful people. She should be in jail alone for essentially having one of her chief scientists harassed until he committed suicide.
@MichaelRicksAherne
@MichaelRicksAherne 2 жыл бұрын
The acts were deliberate but I think the reason she was acquitted on those counts is because the plaintiffs couldn't show damages. Their doctors, being smart doctors, noticed the results didn't make sense and ordered more tests by normal methods. Those secondary tests allowed the doctors to make correct diagnoses and treatments, so there was ultimately no harm to the patients. *edit*: I should add that I don't agree with our law being this way. I think putting people in harm's way should make someone guilty, even if they all got lucky and nothing happened.

If you make a statement that impacts Joe public then it's not swindling. If it trashes the reputation of a former president or member of the government or 'someone important' then it IS swindling. We all know this is why she got in trouble. Whenever you're investing money, just make sure there is 'someone important' on the board so that someone goes to jail. Otherwise, you just made a bad investment.

I think her image and voice were carefully contrived. If you're paying attention to her voice and eccentric appearance then you're not paying attention to the grift. Boris Johnson for example is said to deliberately make his hair a mess before he has to give an important interview. He knows that if people are looking at what a mess his hair is, they aren't focusing on the nonsense he's talking, and so he can get away with a lot of things.
