More and more clients complaint to me that their company email address were being used to send out spams, they were concerned if something's wrong with the email server, or had their email accounts been compromised.
I made this video so I don't need to explain to them individually.

Sorry to hear that! Very importantly, you need to stay calm and read my message carefully... First things first, when you said your email account got hacked, are you not able to login to your own email account anymore? a. If you can login, it means he was bluffing, because if he could login to your account, he would have changed your password to lock you out; b. If you can't login, that means he has control of your email account now. You may ask for help from your email service provider, tell them you suspect your email account got hacked and you need to regain access. But I'm also curious: If he has control of your email account, how did he inform you that you need to pay him Bitcoin? He contacted you on another email account?! Chances are, 90% of this is bluff. But you should still change your password anyway, and ignore him. Tell me how it goes?

Is it possible to block the spoof sender? The spoof I get is with my own email address; will I block my own email address when I block it?

Assuming your are using custom domain name for your email address ie yourname@yourdomain.com, therefore you need to set up the following few things: 1. SPF 2. DKIM 3. DMARC SPF is to tell mail servers all over the world where your emails can be sent from eg your mail server, your website's hosting server, etc. DKIM is to digital signature of your email address, which consist of private and public key. One set in the DNS records, the other store in your email server. Finally, DMARC is to tell mail servers what to do with your emails that fail to comply to above two criteria, whether to block, quarantine (mark as spam) or ignore them. I'm thinking of making a video some time soon to explain the process in details. Just need to make time 😅

@@racistkid6929 I think you will need to pay for a hosting space. Don't think you can find any free hosting these days, even if you could, I would advise you to stay away from it. Just get those $5-10/mth plan, use it for one or two months until your project is done.
