Byakuya knew Mondo killed Chihiro the whole time, and would have exposed him if there was no other out. So Mondo keeping his mouth shut couldn't save him. Leaving Chihiro's corpse alone actually might have, because it would have meant Byakuya didn't see him leaving the crime scene. Of course, if Mondo had the presence of mind to realize he was not in a good place, he could have also cancelled the meeting with Chihiro in the first place, preventing the murder. And yes, the fact that you as the player can tell Chihiro they should go to Mondo for help is a knife in the gut, thanks for reminding me.

Funny that nine of this characters surviving would mean the death of at least one other pearson. And for real, every boy with a name that starts with a K in V3 was doomed from the very start. Korekiyo was so far gone that the only way for him surviving would be if someone strong caught him trying to kill some girl and locking him up for the rest of the game; Kokichi would either get killed because everyone is fed up with him or because he would make a heroic sacrifice; Kaito was sick, so even if he won the trial, he would die on the same day; And keebo escaping was meaningless because his cpu only worked inside the cage.

Actually, Angie still would've died if she let the book on fire. It seems the motive was also a murder weapon because in the end page it said watch out for Cobon monoxide poisoning. So, assuming Angie lit the Necromancacon in her lab it would have filled up with harmful chemicals most likely coursing her to pass out and depending how much smoke was inside killed her due to lack of clean air. Pretty bad fate but still would've been a very interesting case to explore.

There's another way junko could have won, she could keep Mukuro the way she was and not have her pretend to be her sister. Then Mukuro could say that she saw an article while walking to school the first day that she would not be attending some show due to her falling very ill and therefore they wouldn't have known she was even involved in the killing game.

I don't think Rantaro's death could have been prevented due to the time limit which means either what happened or everybody died, Kaede's however could have been avoided if they hadn't let the monokubs take the pictures in the library away (given that nobody used the first blood perk) But overall I agree with most of the rest, and it's really interesting to share opinion with you ^^

To be fair, Kaito was dying anyway. He didn't even die to his execution; his own illness beat Monokuma to the punch. Even if he hadn't revealed himself, he would've died anyway; it just wouldn't have been as glorious. Also, wasn't it Nagito that gave Imposter that note?

"By switching rooms with Sayaka, Makoto unintentionally awakened Sayaka's will to kill." Sayaka was already planning to murder. Makoto traded keys with her *after* the nighttime announcement, which means she must have had the knife on her already, since the kitchen would have been off-limits. Kirigiri couldn't keep the laptop with her, because the mastermind would notice. WE know the mastermind knew the entire time anyway, but Kirigiri didn't. Mahiru wouldn't talk with Hiyoko face-to-face about the time change because the letters state "Let's try not to see each other for a while." Searching for the bombs and searching for Nagito are basically the same thing: splitting up and searching everywhere you can on the islands. This one should have been "Fuyuhiko checking the warehouse first instead of the Monokuma Factory first." This video could have just been 2:42 and 8:20 put together. Or perhaps just, "Junko not being born/not being an insane person." 'Cause all of these deaths are because of her, including The Killing School Semester.

The pattern is the 1st chapter the execution starts with taking someone by the neck, 2nd is hitting the victim on the head, 3rd is two deaths, 4th is the big buff ones always die, and 5th is there is a plan involved/ the most important or hardest one to figure out

I remember when a lot of Kokichi stans blamed Maki for Kokichi's death but it was Tsumugi's fault for creating the Hope's Peak flashback lights that instigated Maki and even Kokichi acknowledged that himself. Plus I'm pretty sure Kokichi settled down with his plan anyway once he noticed how bad Kaito's condition was probably getting. Like he knew he was sick in ch4 probably after Kaito chased him around and in ch5 as he held him hostage he probably could have saw him coughing up blood in the toilet or sink as he was bringing him food or something. Plus, he wrote that book for him, which probably took some time, so he knew he wasn't gonna make it out. And he wanted to use Kaito for it before he died a "meaningless death" so I didn't think Maki was essentially the one who tied the noose around Kokichi's throat. Was it even more convenient for Kokichi to convince Kaito to kill him? Sure. But even Kaito acknowledged that that wasn't the only reason why he agreed to the plan. I no longer see those Kokichi stans anymore saying how much they HATE Maki (a lot of stans like both characters) but that always bugged me when they said that while being fine with Kokichi doing what he did to Gonta and excusing it. (I love Maki, Kokichi, AND Gonta btw)

For the whole games, I would say for DR1, Danganronpa IF's scenario. For DR2, they just had to properly check for a virus before launching the program and taking it out. For V3, yeah, it is there in the video, just enter the library quicker and catch the mastermind.

Kokichi and kaito’s death was caused directly by kokichis lie as well as maki’s killing tenacity. It just proves to show in Danganronpa that your biggest mistake is to fall into the hands of the killing game.

There are some things to add when it came to the reasons. Sayaka had planned Leon’s murder before she went to Makoto, switching rooms was always part of the plan and didn’t result in killer instinct happening. Also it was because of the motive video she had that caused her to snap and form the plan. So it was more of she shouldn’t have watched the video, Makoto not agreeing to the room swap, or Sayaka picking a target that wasn’t a professional athlete For Mukuro it was not agreeing to Junko’s plan. She was told (If DR IF is any indication) that she was going to attack Monokuma and be imprisoned so she could help behind the scenes only for Junko to actually betray her in the end. It didn’t actually matter if you told Chihiro to go to Mondo in the FTE, Chihiro goes to Mondo cause of his declaration of “a man’s promise” which would meant chihiro could tell his secret and Mondo would have kept it. It was impossible for Kirigiri to take the Alter Ego because of the cameras everywhere. AE was set up in the bathhouse because there were no cameras, since steam would have fogged the lense. I guess a better prevention would have been stopping Hifumi from ‘bonding’ with Alter Ego since he had a lack of video games and he treated the AI like a dating sim, forming an unhealthy obsession. For Kiyo, it wasn’t really confessing to Tenko’s murder but just going through with a second murder after Angie that screwed him over. There was little to no evidence for Angie and it was Tenko’s death the gave reason to look under the floor and finding Angie’s blood. The executions would have killed the other girls that would give his sister ‘friends’. It wasn’t so much that Gonta agreed to Kokichi’s plan that sealed his fate, it was watching the flashback light. After finding out how the outside world was, he became broken and fell to despair, making him desire a mercy kill for the others. Same can be said for Kaito and Kokichi as if Maki never saw the flashback light, she never would have taken matters into her hands. (Angie really had a point there in chapter 3). Also Kaito agreed to kokichi’s plan because he didn’t want maki to become the blackened and risk getting executed as well as not wanting Maki to kill again after her desire to change. He also stepped out of the exisal because he didnt want the other’s executed since the goal was creating an unsolvable murder that would ruin the game.

With kokichi’s plan, even monokuma was confused, so if Kaito didn’t reveal himself and Shuichi didn’t basically tell him he couldn’t hold an execution for a murder where he didn’t even know who was the victim. kokichi’s plan would have worked in breaking the whole game if they had just went along with it, and everyone could have survived

I slightly agree for Chihiro's prevention on a basic level, Chihiro was searching for a strong and fierce man who could help him become stronger, Mondo fits these terms, also, Chihiro would ramble about the "getting stronger" stuff, since Chihiro was eventually gonna ask Mondo to train with, also nothing was stopping Chihiro from asking Mondo, I'm pretty sure that Chihiro told Mondo his secret before the murder training. If not then I apologize, but that is only gonna make it a higher chance for Chihiro to train with Mondo. I agree that the motives were a big thing about this trial, but Mondo knew what he had done, he killed his brother. And I doubt he was angry everyone would find out. But was jealous that Chihiro was very determined and had inner strength as well as an amazing life. And now that I think about it, Mondo definitely knew Chihiro was a boy before the murder, As Mondo's brother made him never force or harass a girl. So he definitely knew what he was doing. Even with the rage. It is still possible for him to not attack chihiro, since while transporting the body, he could've found out then. But I'm not sure. That's my summary for Mondo.

5:14 while this is true, I think a more plausible and probable method(although the most probable thing to happen was what happened in game) would have Chiaki tell Nagito that she's the traitor and that killing the ultimate despairs in this world won't help. Considering she's hyper intelligent I would assume she would at least know that monokuma has a plan for whomever dies in this world. Since I mean, there's literally no reason for him to kill the ultimate despairs unless there's something even worse and despairful he can make.

The strange thing with Kaito's death is that it's probably the best way he could have died. Dude was already going to die soon due to his illness, so at least when he revealed himself as the blackened his dream of going to space unintentionally came true. If Kaito hadn't helped Kokichi then his dream would never come true and he woudl still die anyways.

I might be wrong here, but wouldn’t a majority of the deaths in V3 be entirely unavoidable? (As long as we believe that they hadn’t entered the library sooner in chapter 1) - Tsumugi would want to kill Rantaro because he was the Ultimate Survivor. This would obviously be a problem because if anything had come out, Tsumugi’s entire plan would fall apart. - Ryoma would probably be too depressed to think before giving himself up for Kirumi. His motive video obviously left him in a state of depression. - As you stated, had Tenko not volunteered, Himiko would’ve died. No matter what, if someone were to volunteer, they would also die. If nobody volunteered, I could bet Kork would find a way to get a volunteer. - If Miu looked behind her, she might’ve accidentally hit or killed Gonta. This would either give Kokichi enough time to head to the others and alert them of how dangerous Miu is, or force Miu to kill Kokichi. - Similar to Ryoma, Maki would’ve been too angry to think before acting. So even had Kaito not interfered, she would kill Kokichi. - Kaito would’ve died to the disease even if he didn’t agree to Kokichi’s plan. Someone tell me if there are any contradictions, because there most likely is!

A lot of these seems more like the characters just should’ve had premonition as their ultimate talent.
