The N54 engine was a cult classic in the BMW tuning scene. This BMW E60 535i came from the factory with 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. I threw on the BMS JB+ tune and bumped it up to 380HP. Let’s find out how fast it is in my performance test.

I agree! Have you ever thought about Bootmod3 with a custom tune by Cary Jordan? Oh man! This is by far the best upgrade I’ve done and I’m full bolt on. I deleted my Dinan tune which I thought was fast, well, it did make me go faster but not like this! Others have switched from full JB4 and say the same thing. Just my two cents. Keep up the great work!

Had to sub brother Awsome contenting just bought a 2008 535xi she looks like she was garaged her whole life immaculate looking to stage 1 with a tune and I’ll be happy with a daily awd twin turbo in a simple man to please welllllll with another 100 I’ll be happy cheers brother

This car needs a full race system without cats, a race air-filter, a couple of extra psi boost on the twinturbos and after that a run on the dyno while putting a new good map/tune/ecu update that matches all the mod-changes I just wrote about. That would give you, easy, around 450hp and at least 400-450NM of Torque, it would also give your 535i a much better sound and those small twinturbos would also sound a bit more when giving more boost :)

I admire your video editing and filming skills. I really searched hard for a manual transmission 535i E60. They were dam near impossible to find. I settled on an F30 335ix with a 6MT and Msport goodies. I was lucky to find it. But I gotta say. The N55 is awesome in terms of reliability. It may not stack up quite as high in the upper HP figures and might be more limited in terms of turbo lag (twin scroll single turbo) but it makes up for it in reliability. With a stage 1 tune, and metal charge pipe I was able to row out the gears fast enough to get 5.7 sec to 60. I've had it since 2019, it's been a joy to drive.

Love the 535! A very underrated vehicle that many people slept on. FBO tune these things are pretty darn good for the price you can get them at. GSF sounds like a great choice as well. I love the sound of the v8. The q50 3.0t might be a good choice as well. Turbo back and tune they are doing 420hp/450tq to the tire. Very solid for a daily and its AWD. Keep up the great content!! Your excellent cinematography is definitely what makes you stand out from the pack.

Thanks! The N54 engine was a gold mine for tuners when it came out. There are a lot of great options out there now for performance sedans. The Q50 sounds awesome, my neighbor has a Red Sport so I'm gonna give that a go soon. But the car I really want to get my hands on is a Stinger GT or G70. Hopefully soon 👍
