The Rally ST looks so cool imo....I just got one today, I thought it would have been a little faster than 16 out of the box, but no sweat we can always make it rip!!!!! That's part of the fun working on them...great speed runs and done accurately!!👍👍

I’m in the process of building a custom rally car out of an Arrma Typhon TLR. I believe it’ll be the rally car Traxxas should’ve built. It’s a shame theirs wasn’t brushless. I had to watch this video though. Amain suggested I just buy this when I told them what I was doing with the TLR. I just laughed. Very cool car, don’t get me wrong. I just want a Rally RC that’ll hit speeds over 60mph. I just wish someone made one like that from the factory. Oh well, that’s what’s great about this hobby! If you can dream it, you can build it. Depends on what some would want to do. For a regular rally RC track its maybe already too fast.

You almost had me sold on the car till I seen the speed

i bought the VR fiesta version about a year and a half ago, speed was like yours, so like you i wanted some more... i went ahead and fitted a Velineon VXL-3S motor+esc in it... ehm... i have to run it at 50% throttle to not break the original drive shaft as when i run it at 100%, that thing litirally deforms at full throtlle. also, im not sure what speed im getting but im sure its hitting around the 60-70 mark, if not a bit more. sure the 'upgrade' wasnt cheap, but if you want to get more speed its well worth it. did i mention that its hard to control at those speeds? :D

Does adding top end speed make you lose bottom end acceleration?

Hey, new to the hobby so I’m a little lost lol, drove mine yesterday and went over a hard sand jump and after the car is making a grinding noise and the gear inside the stock motor or like the white spinning gear u can see thru the little hole in the motor like doesn’t spin or catch sometimes but the big black rod in the center always spins, and no matter if I go in reverse or forwards just a loud grinding sound and sometimes it takes seconds for the car to like “catch” and then it starts moving but the grinding never stops if I try to move at all, even rolling the car on the ground only the black rod spins and the motor doesn’t do anything. any idea what the problem could be? Thank you

Why are so many people blinded by speed ? Much more important is HANDLING ! I bought a FIESTA ST for RC Rally Racing ( equivalent to SCCA TSD Class ). Suspension, tightness, precision and accuracy of steering, double-thickness speed-run body, super slickery high gloss aerodynamic bodies, aerodynamic wheel covers, wheel well covers, a real spinning gyroscope coupled to TSM, AUDRINO controlled front air dam and spoiler are things racers should be MOST concerned with ! Servos need to have minimum latency and transmitter sticks need Hall Effect Sensors. Voice alerts and voice/thought recognition control would help things as well.

I remember having a brushless motor with a double battery set up It was INSANELY FAST , it would pull wheelies Only down fall is it would overheat a lot

16 mph!? No wonder when I bought it I immediately went back and bought a better motor for it, making a 300 rc 450 dollars. I also upgraded the drive shaft to a nice blue aluminum instead of the plastic stock.

pay attention to your motor temps, there's a fine balance between pinion and spurs to not overheat your motor or esc, having your gearing to low will cause the motor to get hot being maxed on RPMs all the time, having the gearing to high will cause it to get hot because it's pushing a lot more current trying to keep the motor up in rpms to the gearing, Gotta find that happy balance where the motor and esc are happy and your speed is well... whatever the motor and esc are happy at. Unless you just plan on doing speed runs, But why buy a rally car for speed runs.

The reason Traxxas never stated it’s speed is because, NO ONE would buy it if they new it only went 16MPH stock out of the box! 🤔(I guess that’s why you never see them anywhere.) My recommendation lower a Slash or lift a 4-TEC.

Indoor or outdoor course racing specifically designed for rally racing…. Not balls to the walls wide open drag or roll racing. Want that ….get an arrma limitless… this is a budget friendly rally course car… people want it all in one package but don’t have the $$ to put the fufillment where the want is…
