The sad thing is that doctors now struggle to prescribe opioids to people who really need them. Not everyone who uses opioids misuses them.

And not every addict will misuse prescriptions either. I’m a former fentanyl addict. Who unknowingly did it thinking it was heroin which I was on for already 6 years. They have a higher tolerance for opioids. In most cases. Now I’m prescribed benzos for anxiety even though I’m an addict. Just celebrated 8 months clean from fentanyl and I don’t abuse my meds. And haven’t gone back to being an addict either. It just depends.

@@pab1381I know i’m late but congratulations on 8 (now 10 i’d assume) months! that’s incredible. fentanyl and it’s analogues are one of if not the worst thing to happen to North America

@@XoTwodG thank you and yes now 10 which was on the 6th so a few days ago. And it’s awful. Many people don’t use it for the first time knowingly. I didn’t. Not to mention, and even though it doesn’t belong in anything however putting into things like cocaine and benzos is actively trying to kill people. There’s no other way to put it. Those people don’t have a tolerance like a heroin addict would. It’s disgusting.

It must have been designed to kill.

No actually fentanyl was discovered in the 60s. Fentanyl is sold because it’s the most addictive substance to ever grace the earth. It’s crazy the things people will do in opioid withdrawal to get their fix. it’s messed up and sad how it really is. fentanyl goes through your fat straight into your blood when consumed so users will get super high super fast so imagine how hard the come down is.
